SM Arnold Speedy Surface Prep Medium grade

My son recommended this to remove 'rail dust' from the paint surface of the new used car I purchased. UNBELIEVABLE results!!!!!! The finish is now smooth as glass, like new and gorgeous. At first I was trying to push and "polish" with this cloth. Finally, when I followed the directions and began to simply wet the surface (I used Mothers Showtime detailing spray) and glide the cloth back and forth over the surface, it worked like a charm. READ AND FOLLOW the directions, then let the cloth do the work for you. This product is so much more effortless and effective than the clay bars I have used in the past. Expensive yes, but the results justify the cost completely.

So much easier than clay works just as good. I had a friend that introduced me to it. I looked at knock off versions from the local auto parts chain and the quality was junk next to the Speedy Surface Prep. The generic versions used so little of the polymer that I could see the micro fiber through it. I used to use clay bars, but no more. The Speedy Surface Prep works just as good but is reusable for far many more uses. My favorite part is that if it gets dropped it can be hosed off and is good to go. Clay bars aren't so forgiving.

After being recommended by a detailing professional...I was quick to jump on this little guy. First couple of times I've used it...fantastic results. I mean, claying is tedious and takes forever. This literally speeds up the process 5x. You can just cover so much paint so much more quickly. However, I've found that a couple of times during a "claying", that it will just out of the blue leave a big scuff mark...a big, hard to remove, rubber-like scuff mark. I'm not sure if the towel is wearing down (I've only used it 3 times) or if I'm not using enough lubricant (seems to be sliding around well enough) but man...these scuffs are terrible to remove. Hopefully, it's not a sign that the towel is already wearing down because it does work very well...until the scuff happens.

For those who do their who detailing knows how time consuming when it comes to the clay baring step. To do a compact car like a 1990 Mitsubishi eclipse it would have taken me somewhere in the time frame of 1-2 hours. Now with this wonderful product it would cut that time in 20-30 minutes and for bigger cars it would take no more then an hour.Yes this product is pretty pricy but in return it would last a lot longer then the traditional clay bar and you don't have to throw it away like a clay bar when you drop it on the floor because you just pick it up and water it off and clay it again.

This is amazing. I purchased the medium grade and used on our 2014 MDX, in a matter of 30 minutes the entire vehicle was smooth and ready for wax/sealant. Highly recommend, next auto will be the 67 Camaro RS/SS...be interesting how it performs on single stage paint. Had previously used regular clay bar, which is small, slow and messy. If detailing out your rides on the weekend is what you get into, this is a must have!

My car was parked by a auto paint shop and got some overspray on it. I washed the car then used the Speedy Prep andit came out just beautiful. I then put a nice coat of wax on the car and it looks like new.

This is an excellent product. I recondition vehicles for a living and I highly recommend it. What sold me was the ability to remove hard water spots from glass and I removed hard water spots from a black Tahoe.

This is so much better than using a traditional clay bar. Faster and easier to use. Highly recommend.
