Jockey Elance Poco Brief - 2 Pack

I was hopeful these briefs would fit like they are pictured even though I'm not built like the iron pumping models they tend to use. My size was on the smaller end of the listed waist size for XL, but these are too small even for me. I don't understand the cut of the garment either. The leg openings rise very high, and the patch of cloth between your legs could barely prevent an escape. I suppose you could wear them backwards as a thong. I prefer the ExOfficio Men's Give-N-Go Sport Brief to these. They may not be as hotsy-totsy, but they're far more practical for me.

Have worn nothing but these Jockey Elance Poco Briefs for 20+ years. My body shape is slender, and these briefs really work well.What I like:- Elastic is strong enough to hold all the "parts" in place, yet you never actually feel pressure from the elastic- They look great! Yes, I do care what my underwear looks like- They cover "enough", but not any more. So many other underwear styles seem to be more like pants: way too large in my opinionCons- Hard to find. Amazon solved that for me :)

These are different than previous Jockey underwear I have purchased. These have an uncomfortable seam in the front of the pouch that is hard to see when you look at the picture. They also have a double material layer in front which adds bulk to the uncomfortable seam. Sent wrong size & had to return for large which fits fine! I wear shorts most of the time so wanted to try underwear with not fly, since I don't use the fly. These are very comfortable, now that I have the right size! Item was sold by Jockey on Amazon, so Jockey sent me a return label & sent me a refund through Amazon, then I ordered the correct size direct from Jockey who honored the sale price & free shipping.

My husband has worn this same underwear product and size for years and this order seemed noticeably smaller then compared to previous orders. They are OK and may stretch a bit, but the difference was clear.

I do contact improv dance and want a pair of briefs that "hold" me securely. These work for that, but the new materials simply do NOT hold up. Whereas I used to get almost two years out of a set, now I'm noticing the white waistband breaking through the material (tearing it) after 3 washings or so. SAD. I haven't found an alternative so just not wearing them as much day-to-day.

I love the fit of the poco briefs, but the white ones do not appear uniform in color - the pouch area is lined, but the rest of the brief appears darker because of the sheerness of the material. The cloth seems to be the same as that used in the other colors and patterns, but the color just allows your skin to show through. The fit and workmanship is the same as the rest of the line.

As others have noted, the cotton material is not as substantial as it used to be.What I found totally unacceptable is that the leg openings on both pairs are asymmetrical, causing the center front,which is essential for obvious reasons to be shifted to the left and not down the middle.
