Works awesome for my shibas and the thicker part of my goldens fur (she still has her puppy coat so her fur isnt as long and thick as it will be after fully matured, but I'm sure that this will he great for then too). Doesn't pull the fur but does grab and rake away the loose shredded fur. Grooming got done much quicker with this and my 3 girls look great! This and a slicker brush together make a great pair for dogs with thick double coats. It works best if you rake the opposite direction that the fur lays so that you can expose the undercoat more. This is great for long fur.

I will not write a whole lot about this other than if you have a hairy / fluffy cat, you MUST ave this. It is a fantastic tool to keep your cat fluffy and neat. My cat (a ragdoll) loves it. Every morning after his few minutes time on the enclosed patio, he comes in and wants to be raked. He literally asks for it. This rake is solid and has a nice ergonomic design that make is easy in your hand and easy on the cat. Go for it. A+

It’s not a bad product, but the dimensions are wrong. The description said it was 5.5in wide, but what I received was a brush about 4in wide. I wanted a wider brush.

Finally a rake that works !!! It is a pleasure to brush my very hairy, rescue Border Collie. First rake I have had that really, really works.

I bought this for grooming my 7 pounds satin angora rabbit. It worked wonderfully I especially like the fact that the tines are not sharp so I don't have to worry about injuring her very delicate skin. It also ran through her insanely dense coat smoothly without pulling or injuring her. I like that the head is small enough that I can groom that cheeks under the neck belly and between the leg area of this rabbit. Also a plus that some of the handle came in pink as this is my daughter's rabbit all of her grooming supplies is in pink!

Great for dogs with long hair, takes all that shedding hair out with ease.

This tool does not work at all for deshedding! I am a dog groomer. I lost my other double row rake and was looking to replace it. This one pulls out basically NO undercoat. I would give it 0 stars if I could.
