Good selection of thread colours. You get 3 of each colour and there was a nice range of colours for the beginner or experienced stitcher. Nice range of tools to. Sometimes you these are a bit naff in this type of set but not here. The needle threader is nice and solid and you get a good selection of needles. The threads are numbered under the DMC numbering system and the colours are a good match to the DMC colours, I’ve already used one of the skeins in project and the colour was identical to the DMC mood thread i was sung. Overall very good value for money

There is nothing intrinsically wrong with these threads. They are very good value as embroidery threads, even for polyester (which I'm guessing these are, as there is absolutely no label on any of the skeins nor the packaging giving fibre content). There are indeed 144 of them, and some needles (bit big, for cross-stitch perhaps), and a stitch pick. But...the photograph used to promote this pack is misleading. I suspect the picture is biased very heavily towards yellow, as the colours I received (pictured) are certainly not equivalent to those shown in the listing.There is only one actual yellow in the whole pack, a good sunflower yellow (pictured), but no paler yellow shades; no lemon nor primrose, and no yellow ochre. There are no bright orange shades, so if you wanted to make a rainbow, you'll need to buy extra threads at the very least for this. There is however a large range of 'Donald Trump flesh' colours (pictured) which I'm guessing are meant to pass for orange. Sad. I don't know how useful these will be. There's no brown, the purples are all a bit dingy, there's no good sky blue, no bright greens. There's an awful lot of pink, crimson, magenta and deep red. Plus black, white (labelled 'ECRU', the only one with a name rather than a number) and a cream. Mostly the colours are just rather drab; probably great if you want to do a project based on a more 'vintage' colour palette, but useless if you want a lot of brighter colours for a child's project or just something more vibrant.All this of course is only useful if everyone gets the same selection of colours. I certainly won't be buying another pack to find that out. Caveat emptor.

What a great selection, I get 48 different colours, and 3 of each colour, it also comes with the needles and other tools to help me try cross stitch, I'm a beginner , everything I learn is from YouTube videos , and most of the video they all say is a little bit expensive to buy the stuff they need, but look at what I found it!!!!! Great quality and great price as well, I thought it going cost me more than 20£ for just skeins, I'm really really happy for what I get, and it can make so many things, highly recommended

I loved this product. Spent a while trying to figure out if the colour selection was perfect and if I’m getting the most out of my money prior to the purchase.But after I received it I was so happy with what I got. There is a wonderful selection of colours (wish there was a true dark emerald green) and with three of the same colour, I won’t have to repurchase for a while as I won’t run out. I’d prefer duplicates rather than 100 different colours that would quickly run out.The actual thread is really good quality and isn’t furry like other ones I’ve had in the past. It’s good for making friendship bracelets as the thread seems of a high quality.It all came nicely packaged and organised in their colour groups.The extra needles etc were unnecessary personally as not only does my project not require it, I’m also not a beginner and there are plenty of other starter kits with more equipment to truly be a starter kit. With the extra needles etc in this product, I’m just afraid I’ll have a stack of unused things after I continually repurchase this. Which I will happily. But that is just a minor personal issue. Just something to keep in mind if you’re buying mainly for the thread.Overall I’m super happy and would buy again.

I am very happy with the thread (and the price), and everything was perfect except for the needles. Thankfully, I have plenty of other big-eyed embroidery needles (and at some point I really must stop buying these kits...), but the pack included in my kit was milliners needles, which are very fine and, as can be seen in the pic, they mostly have teeny tiny eyes. The two big needles, should work as well as embroidery needles, but the tiny-eyed ones will only be useful for single threaded, projects, I think. And french knotting.This was still a very good kit, at a very good price, and the thread is gorgeous, and the threader and untwister-tool (or whatever it's called) were spot on. Would buy again.

Bright mix of colours. Easy to use. Soft. Perfect for beginner cross stitchers/embroiderer’s.Arrived quickly and will last a long time! Really good value for money

Unfortunately this package had been opened previously. There are only 140 skeins, no needles, no needle threader and the stitch unpicker is bent.The threads feel ok for the cheap price. Not using for embroidery, but hassles and pom poms.

Really good thread for the cost. I use it for recreational embroidery and it works just fine for what I need but I does knot up easily. The strands separate well and the colours are very vibrant. Theres a brilliant range of colours however theres not many neutral browns and oranges which is something to consider if you sew trees and such. The needles are nice but unnecessary in the kit I think. I'm not sure they're embroidery ones as they create quite a large hole, the do the job for what I need though.
