Schlagwerk SH10 Shake Hands

****Note... I'm updating my review******I've been having some wrist issues and my hand therapist suggested I get a wrist wrap. I showed her this item and she said that it basically did what any kind of wrist wrap she'd recommend to me would do, so, I got to justify a new toy.It has three shakers (2 eggs and one that's basically a 35mm film canister) so you can easily adjust how much sound it creates. Sometimes the film canister one has a tendency to slide out. I find it works better (for me) on the right hand than the left.It is a bit pricey. Could probably make one for about 1/2 the cost.Update: a few months ago, the strap started coming apart. I don't expect devices like this to last forever, but a year and a half seems pretty short.Lowered stars to 4 for this reason.

This shaker is played by me at my church. I'm a second guy in the hand percussion section. I was looking for shakers to fill the sound. The one of many things i like is that the reversible sleeve can be loaded with other shakers. There are two egg shakers and one 35 mm can shaker with small bbs. I also have many shakers in my arsenal in which i sometimes replace my meinl into the sleeve for a wah wah sound. The sleeve gets hot and is flexible. I wish the material was better. I wear the sleeve to add more sound. It's a great addition to your setup but not a front runner to be played alone. The price is high, and should be $19.99.

I badly needed this for my performances. And when I tried it out, it was everything that I ever needed when it comes to that shaker sound/feel.The only downside of this product is that the loop side of the velcro was easily worn out after 2weeks of continuous use.

It does work - it is not as loud as I would have hoped. Also, it gets VERY snug/sweaty in there. So, word to the wise to expect that.

2nd purchase my 1st one got left behind, had to have another one. I don't wrap it on my hand, I wrap it around my foot and play my cojan.

A product I bought on Schlagwerks reputation and the fact that it was the only product I had found to fit the idea I had for shakers. I could have made this myself in about 20 minutes with an Ace Bandage, egg shakers and Velcro for less than 1/2 the price. I still use it occasionally, but kick myself for paying almost $40 for it...

I really like these. Might buy a second one.

I should’ve read the reviews before I bought it, I just jumped on it and bought it because I couldn’t find it anywhere else and it really works, but the materials are of really substandard quality. We only perform every Saturday for a three hour gig with a 15 minute break every hour, so that’s only 2 and a half our, and after 3 performances, the stitching on the pouch came undone and the thumb loop is wearing out quick.Not worth the price,.. I’ll just buy materials and use this one as a pattern to make a new and improved one. ““Watch out Schlagwerk”” Thanks for the idea!!!!

Its a great addition to my stock of extras. It can be used in different ways, I like that I can take out some shakers for a different sound.

Comfortable and sounds good if you know how to use it well, could be a bit cheaper though.

I use it on my left foot along with a strap-on tambourine while playing Cajon. It does exactly what I expected.
