I realy like this figure, i wish they made more of these. Amazon was the only place i was able to find the classic Capt love the older shield and uniform

My son enjoyed the toy and the quality is good. Just flimsy accessories & inconsistent paint in figure are what knocked it down a star.

The first thing one will note about this figure is that it is a recolour of the 2010 San Diego Comic Convention exclusive, as such, folks who missed out on the (fairly pricey) original now have a much more economical and readily available alternative.Based off his World War II uniform featured in Marvel's "Ultimates" series, the intricate and textured sculpt of this figure is arguably its most eye catching feature. History aficionados will note its resemblance to the US M-1943 uniform, and as such the outfit is given a rough texture to mimic the appearance of cloth along with a multitude of deep folds and crevices to further accentuate the realistic nature of this particular piece.Captain America comes equipped with a reasonable number of accessories as listed below:1. Removable helmet2. Harness with pistol holster (Can be removed with some difficulty but not recommended)3. Pistol (Possibly M-1911A)4. Thompson Sub-machine gun (Possibly M1928A1)5. His Iconic Stars and Stripes Shield (Shaped like a Heater shield as a nod to the original Jack Kirby design)Articulation wise, this version of Captain America boasts a phenomenal amount of joints albeit some points of articulation are more hindered than others. His torso, shoulders, neck, hands, hips and ankles are ball hinged and he has swivels on wrists and lower calves and double jointed knees. Where his joints shine begins with his hands; they possess the added luxury of a hinge on top of the swivel located at the wrist, allowing for some more fluid poses. Additionally, his elbows, while appearing somewhat thin, are able to achieve more than 90 degrees of range on his single swivel joint, maxing at roughly 110 degrees of motion. He also possess ankle rockers in the form of ball hinges attached to his feet and thus allow for natural looking wider stances.Unfortunately, his hips are somewhat hindered by the bulk of his thighs where the ball hinges are connected, restricting the amount of movement one can get out of his legs. His torso is also hindered somewhat by his harness for any turning motions and last but not least, the double joints at his knees are made of the softer PVC plastic which hinders his capacity to support his own weight at times.In spite of its shortcomings this is still a fairly good toy. Fans of Captain America will find a very well detailed and unique looking version of this superhero in toy form and lovers of WWII history and miniatures may find themselves pleasantly surprised at the unusually historically accurate look of this piece. In other words, a welcome addition to any figure collection.

This version of Cap is based off his world war 2 appearance and is comic based not film based. There is tons of details on this figure but it is actually a recolored version of the 2010 San Diego Comicon exclusive. Despite the fact that hasbro pumps out seemingly unending waves of repaints in all their toy lines this figure rocks.He has tons of articulation and cool features and is in WW2 attire. His helmet is removable and he seems to have what looks like a leather mask under it maybe some kind of weird motor cycle goggles im not sure. He comes with the classic tri-pointed shield a pistol and a machine gun. while his costume is obviously specific to him. his guns,belt and boot covers are standard issue looking and sport the regular olive green color. Its really a nice overall representation of the character with great joints and poses nicely. His shield can be connected to his wrist or worn on his back with a peg rather than the shield straps the marvel universe versions of Cap get which is the only real let down. The one i picked up had no issues with the paint at all the application is damn near perfect which is a big plus for collectors who go out of their way to find the perfect figure.
