The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Limited Edition Passover Haggadah by Maxwell House Coffee

My Mrs. Maisel Haggadah arrived yesterday (April 3) and it's perfect! (And the canister of Maxwell House Decaf is due shortly before the first seder.) My husband and I made our first seder as newlyweds in April, 1970, and I am proud to say we've been using those blue Maxwell House Haggadahs every year since! Sure, we've bought fancier, prettier, and more scholarly haggadot over the years, too, but there's something very special about the M.H. paperbacks, complete with vintage matzah crumbs and wine stains. They are nicely laid out, and the artwork is perfect for all ages. All the songs are included, and the story line is easy to understand. (Our family members still laugh at the crazy syntax on page 13: "Your ancestors dwelt on the other side of the river, Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, and they served other gods." Every year, someone will ask, "Is Terah the RIVER or the FATHER?" This is always good for a laugh!) Seriously, we are grateful to those M.H. people who, long ago, came up with this wonderful "freebie." And now, the Mrs. Maisel special edition is such fun! We've all LOVED the TV series, and this new pink haggadah is just terrific. Now, I'm looking forward to trying Midge's brisket recipe! Thank you, Maxwell House!

I will preface my review with the truth that this is my very first. Even so, having seen other various haggadot, I have to say this is one of the coolest ones ever. I fell in love with Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, so combining the quirky comedy of the show and the time honored tradition of the seder meal is perfect for me. Absolutely love it (and I got coffee out of it, too!).

I showed my mother Mrs. Maisel when she visited me last year and she loved it. Binged the whole first season and asked for more, which wasn't available yet. My sister helped her watch the second season soon after it was released. I heard about it on so many phone conversations.She still has a handful of the old 1980's Maxwell House Haggadahs from when she lived in the States, which are used when there are enough people around the Seder table.So naturally when I saw this promotion I needed to get ($12 of probably lousy) coffee and a present for her. She loved it. I haven't tried the coffee. Worth every penny.Not sure why people are complaining over this. It's a promotional gimmick. Yes, I would have loved to get a fully-illustrated book with jokes, 1950s references, character gossip, etc. inside. I might even paid real money for that. But it's still a prayer book and that'd be a PR nightmare when it backfired with Jewish newspapers calling Amazon "worse than Pharaoh". The kvetchers need to lighten up- they sound like Abe Weissman.

I’d never actually had Maxwells coffee before now, but have really enjoyed it. Mostly I ordered this for the Haggadah tho haha. The illustrations are gorgeous, the colors used are lovely, and the whole thing is really well laid out. Also I loved that it had a little brisket recipe in the front. I love Mrs Maisel, and the whole idea of this collab was sweet and super fun!

I bought so many bundles of Maxwell House Coffee with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Limited Edition Passover Haggadah by Maxwell House Coffee as a "free bonus" that my head is spinning. There were assorted varieties and prices, but the one thing they had in common was that the Haggadahs each arrived within a couple of days and cost a majority of the total purchase price. Days or weeks later, I've received or am awaiting receipt of the coffee orders of the bundles and they each cost a few cents. I mean less than a dime and some are less than a nickel. As an example, my credit card was charged four cents for a canister of coffee and over six dollars for a "free" Haggadah. For this headache, I should have reduced my rating from five stars to one but I just can't do that because I'm enjoying the Haggadahs and the coffees.As a Haggadah honoring Midge, this is a five star product, but otherwise, it's nothing special. The paper is sturdy and the printing is done well, even the faux wine stains. Yes, the sketches are not extraordinary and the kids are not included, but then they aren't included in most episodes of the Amazon series either. Nobody else sits at the seder table adorning the cover, but, maybe they just haven't arrived yet or Amazon did not understand that the market for this particular product. would expect more as opposed to less. If you remember from the first episodes, of the series Midge's brisket was often used as a bribe to get a spot in the comedy club, but the recipe does not compare with my own mother's recipe which is the best in the world and if I were to still eat brisket, would be the recipe I would follow. The Haggadah looks just like the photos provided, it provides a service you can follow on Pesach, or you can just keep it and wonder why you spent so much time trying to get your hands on one or more. Most of us have not purchased enough Maxwell House Coffee in the bundle when it was available to provide a copy for each person at our seder tables, but then again, most of us already have the truly free Maxwell House Haggadahs which come inside the five pound boxes of Manischewitz matzohs which are often free with a minimum purchase in grocery stores. As for me, I've enjoyed hunting for the assorted Maxwell House Coffees to try and have been reminded of decades past when I wanted to save my mother's empty cans. I never purchased a can or canister until this collaboration and for that I'm grateful because the coffee is not terrible. On the other hand, the Amazon series is terrific, so I'm enjoying both parts of the bundle purchases and look forward to sharing them with family and friends.The Amazon stickers which are slapped onto the Haggadahs are awful, really terrible. For this, I have reduced my rating by a star. Use a hair dryer and try to carefully remove it if it bothers you as it does me. On one Haggadah, I had to remove it from the actual pages in addition to the cover because it was positioned so poorly.

Ordered two boxes of Maxwell House K Cups and got two. OM Goodness! Couldn't wait for it to show up and when it did I went crazy. LOVE the pink and wine stains. Also going to try out that recipe next week to see if it pans out.The haggadah is a bit bigger then the previous years, I am guessing that is to match how they were in the the late 50's. My husband may have to stop me from ordering two more next week.

This was a cute gift that made my friends younger sister very happy on pesach. Unfortunately it also came with more coffee than I can drink. Also, I feel like they could have done more. This was underwhelming given all the hype.

I love these and wish they’d make more! We used the maneschwitz hagaddahs from the 60s for years, and they were falling apart. I replaced with 12 of these and wished I bought more when I had the chance . The outside is much more durable than the free ones and adorable!
