Day Designer for Blue Sky 2019-2020 Academic Year Weekly & Monthly Planner, Flexible Cover, Twin-Wire Binding, 5" x 8", Floral Sketch

The photo is of my 2018-2019 5.5”x8” planner. I finally found my favorite. Just right for my needs. I ordered the one for 2019-2020. Oh no! There is no plastic pocket at the front! I need the plastic pocket back. I will figure out a way to rig up the old one to the new, but please bring it back! Also, I am adding this after using the calendar for a couple months and getting days mixed up. Please don’t move the “Notes and To Do” section from one side to the other every year. Last year’s was on the right hand side. I am used to the mental memory of Sun-Wed on the left and Thur-Sat with Notes on the right. My brain is having a difficult time shifting.

I love the design of the pages of this planner. I liked last years clear cover MUCH better. This year's clear cover is flimsy and shiny and looks cheap. The pink floral is last year: matte finish, smooth corners, nicer edges, and looks nicer on the bindings. The red floral is this year.

the metal coil spine doesn't have full loops and is not uniform in size all the way down the spine. Plus some of the pages keep coming out of the metal coil on the ends. I've had it for 10 minutes and its happened just by flipping through to look through it. Super disappointed that it isn't nearly as sturdy as last years edition :( Can;t imagine it would hold up to a years worth of uses. Am going to try to return.Side note, the front page with name information requires a specific pen to write one. I put my name and it smeared off, so I got a damp cotton ball and was able to remove it completely. Maybe it needs a sharpie? Other pages take normal pens.

I have purchased this exact same planner for at least the past four years. I keep coming back to it because it has so many useful features. It has a standard monthly layout with the holidays marked, which is useful for keeping track of birthdays and such. It also has a two-page weekly layout, which is where I make most of my entries. There is plenty of room to write down appointments, practices, etc. There is also a to-do list on each of the weekdays, with a box you can check when you've completed each task. The organization of the planner is very intuitive and helps me stay on top of things. The paper is high quality - thick and smooth, so it's lovely to write on. The designs are vibrant and beautiful. It's the combination of basic features and little details that make me keep buying this planner year after year.

I think of the year on an academic calendar simply because my entire life I've either been in school or shortly after graduating from law school I had my son and then he started school. I also needed a monthly calendar with big enough spaces so that I could see the entire month's schedule and not just week to week. Most calendars only gave me enough space to write on weekly and most monthly calendars weren't big enough. However, I've found that the Day Designer Academic Planners give me the space needed to track all my caseload and my son's events. The styles change only ever slightly from year to year. As far as durability, I carry this around 5 days a week and it gets thrown around but maintains it's shape and pages. The covers are plastic. Between each month are weekly pages so if you want or need to write more detail you can. Last year's planner came with a folder pocket which was nice because I could slip papers in it temporarily until I got back to my office to file them away. This year, Jun 2019-20, doesn't have one, but it's not make or break.

I've been buying Blue Sky planners for years direct from the company. Love them but this is the first year I didn't get a "custom order" from the company and just bought what was in stock from Amazon. Got the planner today and it was NOT what was described. Both the written product description on the site and the cover picture on the planner states that the planner comes with a storage pocket, snap in ruler and stickers. I made sure to order the "new version" since they had a choice between old & new and some of the reviews mentioned getting the wrong product. This planner had none of these items. I did have the frosted cover which I don't really like but was ok with since it had everything else. Also as soon as I was flipping through it, the back cover came out of the spiral. This "in-stock" item is less costly than special order from the company and I don't mind getting less when paying less but I want to know what I'm getting. Incorrect product descriptions is the same as false advertising. I will be returning it. I know things must be super busy @ Amazon right now. Maybe this was just a packing mistake. May try again with a completely different planner. If it happens again I'll continue to buy direct from Blue Sky.

There are a few reasons why I like this company and line of planners - one was the cover that can be used as a clear pocket. Well, on my new planner the plastic is not a pocket but just a protective sheet. It was useful to keep small notes and others in that pocket and good place for reminders. I had to remove two stars because there were no other changes for improvements, but just that one change to make the planner worse. The protective plastic sheet isn't clear and blurs the colorful pattern.

The is exactly the type of planner I love --spiral bound so there's no clunky spine --when you open it up it will lay flat. the plastic cover is very durable. The cover design is carried throughout the planner on the top of each page. I love the month layout but there is also a weekly layout. It has tabs for each month so it is very easy to get to the exact page you need. I couldn't love this planner more!

This is the second Blue Sky Academic Year Weekly & Monthly planner I have purchased in a row and I love it so much. It's the best planner for scheduling a week of school & seeing the month at a glance. I love the size, the colours and most of all the tabs!! I hope to continue purchasing these every year on amazon. Please continue to carry - they are wonderful and I can't find them anywhere locally here in SK, Canada. Thanks Amazon!

It came super fast! It is the perfect size, not too big not too small. It's nice and colorful. It has the plastic sleeve on the front to put stuff in. It has an area to keep up on goals and stuff. And it shows month view and day view, with to do lists right on each day to make it easy to keep track. Really great quality too!

Great 2 page month layout with also 2 page week spread. There is no moveable 'today' page marker so that you can quickly/easily flip back and forth. Some of the similar day planners with the hardcover have a handy storage pocket that is quite nice to help keep the paper clutter at bay.

todo el año 2019 está perfecto, pero justo que iba a empezar a usarla en 2020 me percaté que el calendario no estaba bien. Tal vez se hayan equivocado. Espero que mejoren porque es una agenda muy bonita y útil.

My go-to planner. I will continue to keep purchasing. It has everything I need and I love the tabs. Great quality!
