MegaGear Canon PowerShot SX740 HS, SX730 HS Leather Camera Case with Strap - Light Brown

I bought this case for a silver Canon SX740. Overall, it is very good; good quality and good fit, with 2 exceptions.The camera case color is darker than what I expected and was shown on the web site; also, the width is wider than the size of the camera by about the thickness of the camera's battery. If I just slide the battery into the case next to the camera, then when I pull the camera out, the battery falls to the bottom of the case and it's hard to get it out, especially when the case is on a belt.I used a piece of packing foam to make a holder for the battery, as shown in one of the attached pictures, and that seems to solve the problem.I would have rated it 5 stars if the color was a little lighter to match the two tan pieces on the camera, and it was either the exact size of the camera or at least had a compartment for the battery.

This case fit my camera perfectly, no extra room to pad the inside for a battery or SD card. Just enough room for the camera. Must have been a design change since one person mentioned they were able to put something inside the case next to the camera. Not so with the one I got. So far, very pleased with the case.

I use this on my belt while hiking, and it provides dependable camera protection while doing rugged rocky terrain hiking when I brush against boulders and my backpack shifts against it. Compact and light weight, camera fits very snug and safe in it while at the same time allowing easy belt level access for quick opportunity "fast draw" outdoor shots.

I wish this looked a little more worn, but over time I think it will get there! It is perfect for my little camera and I like to carry it by strap it comes with. It also has a belt loop… not clip! So if you want to wear it on your waist- you need a belt.

I really like that the opening is smooth for taking camera in and out of the case. Most other cases to hold camera have zippers across them so you are pulling the camera out and putting it in across zipper that could scratch the monitor.I like the leather and color since it matches the silver and tan camera and goes with it nicely.I wish it had another little pocket in there to hold spare battery and memory card but it is nice enough I can deal with it in some other way

Although this is not a real leather case , it does a very good impersonation of one.Tip , where the folds are , apply some leather dressing so it does not crack and stays malleable.It`s magnetic clasp is a huge plus.I hope this helps ,Gary , aka Dreamer

Others indicated the case was big enough to place an additional battery in it. Found the camera was snug and would not accommodate a battery without scratching the back screen or the front of the camera. Too soon to judge the durability of the case.

Just got a Ricoh IV and was looking for a small case to carry it around in and possibly store when I’m not using it. Still quite a little wiggle room for my cam since it’s definitely smaller than canon’s compact cams. Overall, with the pricing, quality and durability I don’t think I’ll be beating up my cam anything soon.

This is a solid sturdy case, other reviews have said the camera moves around and the case needs padding. Maybe the case has been redesigned as the camera does fit quite snug.The downsides of this case are:- The strap, useless unless it's for a child. And the fastener (as mentioned in another review). It's not very good, hard to fasten and as it's magnetic I'm not sure that I would trust it. Maybe a longer flap with good strong Velcro should have been used.A bit pricey for what it is. I wish I'd gone for another case instead.

Case is required for use at archaeological digs so it needs to be sturdy and easily carried. The MG1505 fits the bill, the case is thick and strong enabling it to protect the camera in and out of trenches. The magnetic lid catch enables the camera to be removed and stored easily. Being able to carry the case on a belt or on the sholder keeps it to hand without getting in the way.

Very happy with this, good and strong and straps ensure it hangs well without allowing the camera to fall out. Would be even better with a pocket for a spare battery but I have wedged mine in the belt strap on the back and that works well, although it means it's not protected.

The case is well made however the SX740 camera is 64x40x110mm and the case is 72x45x110mm internally. So the camera rattles around in it and needs padding to cushion it. With this added it would be a five star product.
