This thing fails in every possible way!
I should have known better when I decided to try an unknown brand of humidifiers. There are others that have been in this business for a long time. Their units are just fine. I admit I was enticed by this “sexy” little black humidifier. Alas, it falls short. Really short. While it actually works just fine (it blows mist) there are a few items that just make it so awkward. Firstly, let’s assume the unit was full and ran a few nights so it now needs a fill up. You pop the top off and grab the handle...go on...grab it...well? Oh I see. You can’t. Because the handle is tucked in much too low and there’s no lip to grab. Well that’s annoying. Ok well let’s grab the whole tank and carry it to the sink. Now turn it over and unscrew the cap...go on...unscrew it! What’s wrong now?! Oh I see, you need a flipping oil filter wrench to get the €£¥% thing off because it’s so tight and not easy to grip! Well, that’s no fun. Okay, well it’s off. Now screw it back on but be careful because the plastic is cheap and you’ll feel it flex in your hand. Ok. Full. Now grab the handle. Oh right. You can’t! Alright carry it over by the sides and place it on the base. Go on...what’s the matter? This should be easy! Oh I see. That little tiny arrow needs to line up with the little tiny arrow over there. And there’s no give or take! Gosh, this is really difficult! Now put the top mist deflector piece on so you can angle the mist where you want it. Careful it needs to sit flush! Now angle it over there...go on! Now what?! Oh you can’t grab anything to angle it. Let’s use a screwdriver to turn it a bit. I know it’s late I’ll go in the freezing garage and get one. One moment!Ok! Full! Top is on the base! Turn it on. Go on...where’s the button?! Oh it’s the dark gold spot on the shiny black background. Hang on I’ll get a flashlight. Looks like I need to go back to the garage! Sheesh.Ok! Unit is on! Nice mist!Wake up in the morning and find the entire unit sitting in a huge puddle...on a hardwood floor. Hold on I’ll go back in the garage and get some utility towels. Now this is weird why did it leak?! Oh I see, the top piece wasn’t clicked in all the way, moisture was able to gather around the rim rather than get ejected out and it flooded and spilled down the side. Well. Hold on I’m going back to the garage...and putting this in the dumpster. Nice way to lose about fifty bucks.

Leaks severely.
This thing works great, as long as it's turned on. When turned off, it starts leaking water severely after an hour or so. One night we turned it off before we went to bed and we woke up in the middle of the night from a strange dripping noise. The dehumidifier sat on top of a dresser and the entire dresser top (and everything that sat on the dresser) was soaked and water was dripping off of the side of the dresser (and almost onto a power strip). When I first noticed the design, I had a feeling it couldn't be good. You fill the thing upside down and then flip it back onto its base. Simple physics will tell you that the water pressure inside will build and the base will overflow. That's what happened. Water came out the seam where the 2 parts connect. Tried several times but every time it would leak dramatically after a while when turned off. We returned this after a couple of days and have not gotten a different one yet. Unsure which to choose after this scary experience.

Great humidifier for the price!
UPDATED: Customer service contacted me and arranged for a replacement which worked as it should. It's a great humidifier for the price. Great size and can easily get 3 12 hour days on one fill. Has made such a big difference in this drafty and dry house! The only thing that I really dislike is the handle. It's pretty useless. It's very glossy which makes it really hard to use since it is inset, you have to turn it over to get it to come out of its nested position. So yeah. this thing only shoots the mist a few inches before it drops off and makes everything in front of it wet. Is that how it's supposed to be or is something wrong with this thing?! It's supposed to be this way, its junk. If it's not, then this one is a lemon.Other than this issue. I haven't had any noise issues with it or anything breaking off or anything. The only time I hear it is when it auto-fills the base, it makes a gurgling noise for a couple of seconds.

Nice used
First of all in terms of the effect of rapid humidification, the effect is really good. Its humidifying capacity is indeed very strong, worthy of the "high performance" title.First of all, the rate of humidification is very fast! My bedroom is floor heating, winter room routine humidity is under 30%, with humidifier less than 2 minutes bedroom humidity rose to 33%, half an hour after 40%. The room's final humidity stabilizes around 52%. After getting up, the throat and eyes are obviously much more comfortable, the air is neither damp nor dry, very comfortable. When the humidifier is placed next to the bed, the floor stays dry and the sheets and covers don't get wet, which is pretty amazing. The humidification speed is fast and the instant is very wetAdvantages 1. Quick humidification speed, instantly dampness dada2. Filter scale purify water source, water vapor clean small fresh3. Quiet work is not noisy, sleep time is not disturbed, so this is a very good humidifier

Disappointed
I purchased the black version of this humidifier. After reading the five star reviews I was like this one sounds great! I have tried this the past few nights and haven’t been happy with my experience. The machine only runs for a couple of hours before beeping non stop with an error code saying that there is insufficient water but when I check the tray is completely full. I gave it a chance but am returning. One of my first amazon buy disappointments.

It helps my baby's dry skin
My baby has some dry skin and breathing issue due to the super dry weather so I need a good humidifier to see if it helps. After a few days of leaving the mist level at low during night time, he does breathe easier and his skin got so much better. Since the tank can hold up to 5L of water, I only need to refill with water after a few days. I did accidentally put it on the carpet so the surrounding got a little wet, but the instruction does mention not putting it on carpet area so that's something to keep in mind of. So far it's been doing a great job keeping the air moist in my house so I'm really satisfied.
