Native America Audio CD – February 18, 2014

The songs on this album are in a variety of styles, but all musically very lovely and peaceful.And catchy, too! As I've gotten to know the album, I find myself humming various of them, hours to days later!I must say, I've never been disappointed by a Putumayo compilation, but this one is especially good.

I love this and enjoy it as well as other NA music that I have. I particularly enjoy playing it on a rainy day for some reason.

This is a pretty good album of Native American music, with interesting sounds and relaxed tunes, but it's a very short album as well, weighing in at less than 35 minutes. Though I enjoyed the album's ten short tracks, I don't feel this album is a good value for what you pay for it. I own eight or ten albums of AmerIndian music, and they're all longer than this Putumayo release, so it isn't a situation where you expect less music on an AmerIndian album. It's just that Putumayo has shortchanged you. They need to add about 4 or 5 short tracks or three long tracks to make this a viable album.

I was so pleased with this CD! It is great quality music and I listen to it every day. My grandson is 8 months old and he loves this CD too. I play it for him when it is nap time and he cuddles up with his stuffed animal and listens until he falls asleep. Great purchase experience!

Native America has a nice selection of songs that are calming and relaxing. I like that the songs and writers are Native Americans. In general, I can always rely on Putumayo to find and assemble a good collection of songs. I often find one or two artists that I really enjoy and will seek other music by that artist.

This is a wonderful album with Native American music from the U.S. and Canada. The music is beautiful and haunting and gives you an insight into their powerful contemporary music. Available on CD and MP3 download.
