Nice Alternative
This is a very nice and affordable option to other types of bike carriers if you already have a cargo carrier. (If you don't have a cargo carrier, they are awesome to have.) These CC125 bike holders get bolted through the mesh at the bottom of the carrier. All parts are included to do this for two bikes. You supply your own wrenches. You space the holders to fit your particular bike wheels. I would say this and the bolting on may be the only inconvenience, depending upon your situation. I use my cargo carrier for all kinds of things and have to remove/replace the bike holders frequently, but it is easy and fast. Lashing straps are included to secure your bikes, but I use other straps. I like to use the black rubber type straps with hooks on the ends because they are fast, easily hook into the mesh of my cargo carrier, and do not mar anything. All I need is one strap per bike and the bikes are secured very well, but I like to use an additional strap just in case. Properly spaced holders combined with a strap do an excellent job of keeping a bike from moving side to side.

Use large washers to attach to expanded metal
This product adapts a cargo carrier to a secure bike carrier. One of the issues described in other reviews is a problem with the provided washers being too small.A quick and effective solution is to add a larger washer under the smaller one as shown in the photo. This provides a solid connection to the expanded metal floor of the carrier.Any hardware store will have the needed parts and the cost is only a few dollars. You will need 8, 3/8 X 1 carriage bolts to replace those provided which are too short when the large washer is added. The large washers have a 5/8 hole in them and are about 2" round. You will need 8 of them.Use the provided lock nuts and small washers. Now, these carrier adapters work perfectly for keeping my bikes safe and secure during transport. With this modification I would recommend buying this product.

Nice product
I already owned the hitch platform/rack, so the decision to try this product was pretty easy to make versus paying for a whole new hitch bike rack system. I took the advice of other reviewers and immediately replaced the packaged washers that came with the product and replaced them with 1 1/4" x 1/4" steel bars (I cut a three foot piece into 4 sections and then drilled holes in them matching the distance of the screw placement on the brackets large enough to accommodate the bolts that came with the product).I've used the rack a couple of times now at highway speeds and am confident in the rack's ability to safely carry my bikes. The bikes can be easily loaded/unloaded from the rack. The included tie-down straps must be used to secure the bike during transport, but works well. I simply anchored one end around the top tube and the other directly to the steel mesh platform.I did order a 2" hitch riser that I'll add to this system as the platform would occasionally "bottom-out" and scrape the ground when going over a large speed bump or a raised railroad track crossing. The need for this will depend on your vehicle's ground clearance. Still, I would recommend this product. It is great for those already owning the platform and only needing to transport two bikes. I would still consider this system even if I didn't already own the hitch platform as it is likely still cheaper than a quality hitch rack, it will perform just as well, and gives you the platform to use for other purposes if needed. Plus there's the simplicity of this set-up: not many moving parts to break, so it's also more dependable!

Works great!
I installed these on another branded carrier to hold my newly converted EMTB and my son's MTB. I first placed one bike on the rack where I wanted it to ride. Then installed the brackets around the bike to ensure proper placement and fit. Once I tightened the bolts, I felt no need to add anything to this setup. Seems very solid. Now when I place the bike in the racks, it holds the bike without any assistance. I do not use the straps provided in the kit as I prefer decent ratcheting straps. With quality ratcheting straps, I was able to cruise along the Interstate with no movement in the bike. This was absolutely the cheapest way to get a "platform bike carrier" without the normal costs!

What I liked:Product is sturdy enough to hold the heaviest of bicycles. It is very easy to install. The coating (paint) has held up to scratches, rain and road rash without chipping or rusting.Dislikes: I would have rated the product much higher for sturdiness if the hardware (washers) were actually useful.Step one: Throw away the useless one inch washers they send in the kit. They bend easily and are worthless. The washers will pull through expanded metal and leave your bikes flipping down the interstate.Step two: find some cheap metal plate about an inch or so wide and 1/16 inch thick. Cut at 4.5 inches minimum and drill a 7/16 inch hole centered on each piece (X8). Make sure to clean and paint to avoid rust.Step three: Now you have something that will actually work with expanded metal!!!!!! The manufacturer needs to fix this issue. It would only cost about a dollar more per kit to make these and people would still buy the kits (my opinion only).Step four: Drink a bourbon for all of the additional hard work making the rectangular washers.Step five: Install according to suggested manufacturer instruction.Additional Note: As you can see in the pictures, I made sure to place the outside rectangular washers under the rack frame to provide extra support. Most camper racks with expanded metal are poorly welded so this will really help support the bikes if you hit potholes, etc. I hope this review was helpful. Brian

Exactly what I needed!
My wife purchased an adult tricycle. Needed to transport it along with my bike. Ended up getting a small trailer and needed something to secure the bikes. These bike tire cradles worked perfectly for me. As in some of the other reviews, the washers provided were a bit small. I ended up getting a piece of aluminum from the hardware store, cut it to size and drilled a couple of holes. The bikes in the cradles are super secure.

Awesome , sturdy
I really love those to add to my platform to hold my bike, i found that only 2 does not do a safe enough for me so i installed 4 for 1 bike as i am alone and that makes it way strong standing and i used better strap to hold it down , as the one provided are the best one

Works well and good value
Product arrived within 2 days of ordering and was packaged well. We set them up on the cargo rack per instructions provided and travelled approx 1.5 hours with the bikes over some bumpy roads. We had a camera looking down on the bikes as we travelled and there was little to no movement in the bikes. The rack worked perfectly.I do have one suggestion that I have also read in other reviews. It would be good to have a 3rd tie down strap included in the box and possibly straps of a little better quality. We decided not to use the 2 straps provided and used 3 ratchet style tie downs instead.

Not for bikes with fenders?
Product was installed as per instructions but there was little support due to having to install on the steel mesh grid of the product that these were made to install on. Had to use other pieces of galvanized metal in order to get it to work. Also, had to bend the racks as they hit the bike fenders as is. Took many hours to resolve.

Works perfectly for our two ebikes.
This works great. They are sturdy enough to hold our two ebikes on our new cargo rack.
