lifesaver!
Man, I thought I really mucked up when trying to fix the p-trap on my kitchen sink. The waste pipe threads were really brittle and I tried to do a repair by using a heat gun and wound up twisting the pipe. I imagined 1000s of $s to call in a pro and then found this tool. I did a test on some pipe I glued up. It worked effortlessly and then I attacked the real job and it went so smoothly and quickly. I was in awe of the genius who thought up this tool. I mean, he made it for me!!! I'm a complete novice with plumbing BTW

3" Reaming Tool Worked Perfectly
I purchased a 3" pipe reaming tool with much skepticism. I had removed an old ABS toilet flange and was in a bind to either open up the ceiling below to cut out and replace the elbow and flange or try this tool. I opted to try this reaming tool and ordered it on Amazon with next day delivery. The pipe I had in front of me was beat up as I tried removing the old pipe from the existing elbow. I figured the tool would jump around and not cut well or leave the elbow with a thin weak wall. In the end the tool never jumped around, it cut out the old ABS pipe perfectly leaving plenty of meat on the old reamed elbow. The tool honestly worked flawlessly and saved the day. Needless to say I was truly impressed and would highly recommend this tool. FYI: I'm not a plumber, just an average homeowner who prefers making my own home repairs.

A must have tool for removing broken pipe from a fitting
I have been a professional landscape contractor since 1977, and am an expert in irrigation and irrigation repair. If you are wondering if this tool will work to remove a broken pipe from a fitting, I can attest that it will work fantastically. Don't buy the cheap ones - I have used them all. Spend the extra money and buy this one. It is very good quality and works perfectly if you do it right. Here are some tips from a pro.Cut the pipe flat across the fitting. I use a battery grinder with a metal cutting blade. This works great and is fast. A hacksaw will also work fine - just carefully cut it flat. The bit has a 3/8" shank which is very tight or may not even fit on some 3/8" drills. I got it to fit on my 3/8" Dewalt battery operated drill but it is a really tight fit. Use a 1/2" drill if you have one. My battery operated one works great but I always have 2-3 charged batteries on hand because the process will usually take longer than one battery can power. Avoid too much pressure while drilling out the pipe and use the low speed. Light pressure is best and take your time and hold the drill tightly and try not to let it wobble around. Brace it on your leg or shoe while drilling. Lubricate the bit with cold water! The bit will get hot and melt the plastic if not lubricated with water. It is better to cut than melt. Use a cold bottle of drinking water and dribble it on the bit periodically when cutting. This helps a lot and keeping it lubed and cool and makes all the difference. Frequently lift the bit in and out of the socket while cutting to keep the bit clean. Don't drill all the way through! Leave about 1/8-3/16 of an inch of the socket at the bottom so the pipe will stop when seating. This stops pressurized water from working it's way between the pipe and fitting over time. Use primer on both pipe and fitting prior to applying the glue. Use 711 GREY heavy body glue ONLY. This will fill gaps and is much stronger. It is best to wait 24 hours for the glue to fully set before pressurizing the line but this is not mandatory and you may be taking an unnecessary risk of it blowing out by doing so. This tool is guaranteed for 1000 reams but most of you will probably only use it once. I have used these tools for years and they are a godsend. Even if you only use it once, it will be worth twice the price and will save your hours of hard work. I highly recommend this tool. Good luck!

It's worth every penny.
Buy once, cry once. This thing saved my bacon. Very clever tool for saving PVC pipe fittings of you need to. The tool works as you'd expect.

Works surprisingly well
When our swimming pool sand filter was assembled 23 years ago, the fittings were connected to very short 2" diameter PVC pipes. Consequently, after going through three or four pumps, we reached a point where we had to replace one of the valves, but did not have enough length of installed pipe to do it. We bought this tool and used it to remove the too-short length of PVC pipe by cutting it flush with a 3-way valve and drilling out the old PVC pipe. It worked amazingly well, and a new (longer) piece of PVC pipe was successfully glued into the now open socket. One thing I would point out, it takes a strong drill motor to get the job done. I had smoke coming out of a battery-powered De Walt drill unit before switching to a 120 VAC powered larger drill motor. Then, no sweat. The bit cleaned out the old pipe with no chattering.

Money maker
Paid for itself after the first use. What a time saver. Just saved at least an hour or two cutting up subfloor to replace a T very tight to the floor with this tool. Less than 30 seconds clean fitting joint ready for new pipe!! Will be buying more

Works great
With these reamers you can save so much time. Yes the initial cost can be seem expensive but with fittings getting pricey it very soon makes sense. You will eventually own one of every size. For irrigation work the ability to not remove piping that is buried and with a cordless drill bore out the broken pipe is a big time saver.

Works very well but quality contol should be better
Tool is made very well. Tried it on a cutoff fitting to practice first. After spending 15 min and only drilling about half of the depth with very rough cutting surface, I checked youtube videos of how people use this tool and quickly realized that mine does not work the way it's supposed to. Apparently cutting edge was pretty dull. After rotating the blade to a different cutting edge (there are 4 of them), tool worked perfectly - took just several minutes to ream the ABS vanity fitting and final hole was like new - perfect, smooth surface and very tight fit. Some recommendations: - for smaller size fittings (like 1 1/2" pipe) make sure to secure fitting as you do need to push this tool and pipes of this size may not be strong enough - higher RPM seems to work better (at least for 1 1/2" fitting) and produce less vibration but do make a tool hot (still should be OK to do 1 fitting without letting it cool down) - if you want every last piece of pipe drilled out, make sure to switch to low speed (if you use multi speed or variable speed drill) and reduce pressure once you have about 1/8" of pipe leftSo to summarize this - very quality made tool and works very well for what is was designed for but quality control at this price point should be much better.

This PVC reemer worked great.
I used it to reem out a 2 inch PVC coupling to replace the bushing. It left a relatively clean surface to glue up a new bushing.
