Ever wonder what it would be like to combine two superheroes together? Your action figures would be unstoppable if they had the super strength of Hulk and the technology of Iron Man? Well, Hasbro has answered your prayers with their new line of Marvel Super Hero Mashers.The figures come in two different varieties, the MARVEL SUPER HEROES Action Figure Assortment which includes such characters as Doctor Doom, Hawkeye, Thor, Captain America, and Spiderman and the MARVEL SUPER HEROES Battle Upgrade Action Figure Assortment which has Hulk, Iron Patriot, Iron Man, and Wolverine.Basically, the figures have interchangeable parts where you can switch out heads, arms, legs, bodies, and weapons to create your own Mash Up. You can be your own Dr. Frankenstein without all that pesky grave digging and lightning catching.When I first saw these things I immediately thought of this cover from a comic book I collected in the 1990s. Comic books often did crossovers where characters from other worlds would battle or combine forces with each other but this book was unique in that two characters had melded into one! In this case, Spiderman and Iron Man’s bodies had fused to create SPIDER MAN…no wait…IRON MAN… .no…IRON SPIDER!I bought these as a birthday present for a 5 year old boy as he had been asking for them since he saw a commercial months ago. He instantly gravitated to them and with all the interchangeable parts, the possibilities were endless.Ages for this toy are listed at 4 years & up because of the small parts. While a four year old could play with it, I will say that some parts are slightly difficult to snap on even for an adult (ie: the head)The parts don't fall off during play and the plastic is sturdy enough for rough play. Sometimes the parts would pop off which added another element to the play with all these spare body parts laying around.If you have multiple of these, you have an infinite number of variations you can create (well not infinite, but a lot).

We got this for my son when he was 3, and he loved them but had trouble taking them apart and putting them back together. Now that he's 4, he can do it and he loves these toys. Very cool and they do mash up nicely. One issue is that some pieces will likely get lost and there is no way to buy, say, a replacement head. I contacted the company, even. So after a while you may have some incomplete mashers. Still, we have about 12 mashers now and they are my son's favorite toys. Very nicely made.

My boys absolutely love playing with this Spiderman toy. The build quality on this toy is very good and will hold up to the abuse they my kids will put this toy through.the arms and legs to come off as my kids have demonstrated that, but are easy to snap right back on. My kids have not been able to pull that head off of this toy, which means that the toy is definitely well made.I would recommend this toy to those who have kids who like Spiderman.

This is a great toy for boys. I bought some for both of my nephews and they had a lot of fun with them. It's neat how you can change their body parts to create new villains. That being said, you need to buy at least two or three to do that! Well worth the money.

Marvel Superhero Mashers are the best! I love playing with these, with my 4 year old. He likes to keep them together, but when he ends up mixing them up, they're the most awesome creations with some interesting names!The more Mashers that you buy, the more combinations that you and your child(ren) can create! They combine with Transformers Mashers also! The quality is great and if, for some reason, something breaks... they can help set you up to replace it!

This is a fun toy, but the heads are EXTREMELY difficult to switch - this causes frustration for the 4-year-old, and some cursing from the adult!

My 5 year old loves these toys and he is rough with all of them. They get beat up by him and are still holding their own! He has several of these now and they are great. The arms, legs, and heads are all removable. Both arms and legs come apart into two pieces each so the kids can really mix and match these. We plan on getting him more next Christmas.

The figure lacks webbing, on the Red parts
