The Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee Kindle Edition

Has things that are very hard to understand in this realm of magick and to use it you'll need to learn scrying and develop clairvoyance to make it work. Using the table and angel calls is pointless if you cant use scrying or are not clairvoyant and its the reason john dee had to use a guy that could do both (if the guy wont scaming of course).

In my opinion, this is a must have for Enochian practitioners or those looking to study it. I believe the reason for anything less than 5 stars from other reviewers is because they can't decode how this book is written. It's a theoretical grimoire for Enochian. It gives the tools, conjurations, and theoretical instructions in the back of the book. This book, is essentially, the Key of Solomon of Enochian.That being said. If this is someone's first look at Enochian, this isn't the one to get, yet. If you are going to start studying Enochian, get Enochian Vision Magick, Enochian Magic for Beginners, and this book.Like I said, this book is written as a theoretical grimoire. So if one reads those other books first, and read a grimoire (Lesser Key of Solomon/Key of Solomon), this book will make way more sense.

Where some other books, like John Dee's Five Books of Mystery, are great resources for historical information and academic study, their formats tend to not be geared toward practical every day use. That is where this book comes in. This book is an excellent compliment to those for those interested in this field and a great reference to have on hand. Many books on this subject have numerous errors (considering it is based largely of barely legible manuscripts its understandable), but it is obvious (if you read the footnotes) that this author has gone through a lot of trouble to minimize errors in this work.

I prefer to use Enochian the way it was presented to Dr. Dee. So for me this book is invaluable. This book covers the Magick system of Enochian very well. It's specific, detailed and gives user guidance.It's also one of the clearest works on the 19 day operation - which is like a self-initiation into the Enochian Energies.This book used to cost well over a hundred dollars. Thank God it was reprinted, for the rest of us. Geoffrey James created one of the most all encompassing and detailed works on the subject. Later authors have pulled considerably from this work.If you have an interest in Enochian or want to read a viable approach based on the original system of Dr. Dee - this book is a must have. If you’re looking for the red book/original copy this is a cheaper alternative. A friend of mine bought the original and this contains alllll of the same information. Most def worth the buy! Be sure you understand old English. Contains a lot of good information. Can be a lot to digest but def worth the buy.

I couldn't wait to get a copy of this book! However, when you're selling a book, be sure that you SPECIFY what edition/printing you have, as well as publication date. Buyers/Collectors shouldn't need to always ask the sellers. Plus it just slows everything down when you have to wait for a response on details of the book that should already be listed.

This book was not really that much focused on the enochian magic as other books are which is why I gave it three stars.

This book was a great addition to my library. I had made the Holy Table and needed more information on working with the Heptarchia, and I found everything I needed to know in this book. The excerpts from Dee's diaries were incredibly helpful. For those who are wishing to explore this little known system of Enochian Magic, this book is a must have.

An excellent work. James studiously edits the entire body of extant Enochian sources from Dee in order to produce a structure that functions as an Enochian Grimoire. James's preface also provides a wealth of insight into the angelic dialogues and provides a concise dismissal of the notion that Kelley was merely perpetrating a fraudulent scheme upon Dee.Essential for those interested in Dee or Enochian magic.

Geoffrey James book is a must read, for sure.

I found that the book contains numerous errors in the tablets either from inadequate proofing or misinterpretation. My conclusion was to not consider the book to be useful.
