Aluminum Compass Rose Nautical Wall Plaque -Wall Medallion

LOVE THIS but the S was broken. The piece was not in the box, which was in excellent condition, so it was broken before shipment.Like it so much that I am returning and reordering in hopes that I get an unbroken replacement.I received my replacement in two days. I received my refund the day I handed the broken one off to UPS,Returning the broken one was worth the minor hassle. We are very happy with it.Some reviews state that this isn't iron because iron can't break. Cast iron can be brittle and break. This IS cast iron.It is what it says it is, but it has fine points on it that can snap off.As for the reviewer that said it didn't come with instructions.....well, that's true, but it is not the seller's fault that anyone would actually need them.Regarding complaints on the dimensions: They are described accurately. Not the seller's fault if someone doesn't know that dimensions are always the outside edges unless otherwise stated.It's a really neat piece, you just need to be prepared for maybe having to return a broken one.

i like the compass and it looks really nice in our home where we put it but the description on the sizing is off a bitthe actual dimensions of the compass are :the ring is 7.5" in circumferencefrom the very tip of the "n" to the bottoms of the "s" is 11 3/8"and from the outside "e" to the outside of the "w" is 11"

This wall plaque looks exactly as I expected, although from the description on one of the seller's pages, I thought the center medallion was about 12 inches by 11 1/2 inches, when in reality that is the size of the whole piece. I hung up the decoration immediately and am quite pleased with how it fits into my traditional/rustic décor. I just love it!! The order was delivered much sooner than was expected, and so, that was also a pleasant surprise!!

Its pretty nice but the s for the south tip was broken off and its a hard fix because of the metal that is it made out of. Still keeping and will use it. would still recommend this piece.

This product is very rustic looking. When I went to hang it on the wall there wasn't a notch for the nail so it's a little crooked on the wall. I'm going to need to find a way straighten it. It's kind of heavy too.

It's exactly what I thought it would be, aesthetically speaking, but there's not a hanger of any sort, on the back. I haven't hung it yet, because, I either have to nails to match my wall, or nails to match the plaque. That's my only complaint.

Very heavy but exactly as pictured. A little on the small side - it looks lonely on a big wall so would be nice on a smaller wall or as part of a collage.

I love it, this is so adorable! and it's heavy duty. It was a bit odd to hang as there isn't a notch in the back to fit a nail/screw. Hmm, not sure how others put theirs up - but I just wedged a nail under 2 points. It still shows (which I really don't like), but I didn't have any other choice. Especially since it's solid metal and pretty heavy. I like it though!
