Brain stimulator and FUN
Awesome!! four levels of difficulty so you can get the hang of it and brush the dust off your chess piece coordination and sequencing synapse. The board situations get more complex on a gradual basis but do become challenging. Have solved hard ones in three minutes and failed to solve an equivalent one after three hours. Solutions provided in case you need to wave the white flag. Have given up twice out of the first 75. So is fun and furiously frustrating all at once. Can go back to a board layout done two days ago and have zero recollection so this is NOT a one and done. Great gift. Your friends will love and hate you for it all at once. Definitely a way to shut up the braggard.

Critical Thinking skills
Even the beginner challenges can be challenging, this is great. I was a little afraid they would be too easy but no, the strategy is moderate and gradually gets more difficult. The chess pieces are heavy plastic, feels nice in the hands, the booklet board is nifty, love how everything packs up into the box neatly. I love ThinkFun games, they are quality!

Challenging even for a lifetime chess player like myself.
Fun yet challenging, originally bought this game to help teach my granddaughter who is interested in learning the game of chess. Challenges you to think strategically (The obvious move is not always the best move). We are having lots of fun learning to think strategically which helps in other aspects of life, in her case school.

Awesome during quarantine
I love chess but during quarantine I obviously didn’t have anyone to play with and a friend suggested this. In LOVE! It’s challenging and the quality is awesome. The book and pieces are bigger than expected but just the right size. Buying another one to gift to my chess loving nephew.

The two versions are the same.
Reviews from 2015 and 2017 say that this version has completely different puzzles than the version in the white and blue box. Unfortunately, that's not true in 2020. Both versions have the same 80 puzzles. The blue and white version has prettier pieces, in my opinion, but the greenish version's puzzle book has better contrast / is easier to read.Well, now I have a home set and an office set, so, it's not a complete loss.....

Better than word finds, or sudoku
Very impressed with this game. If you love playing chess, and there isn't anyone around to play with you this is a great alternative. It's almost like chess "drills" that make you think multiple moves ahead. I am already halfway through the book and I find it fascinating. And since there are pieces you are moving with your hands, it feels more like chess than a mind game. Thank you.

Chess lover approved 😉
Got this as a gift for my father who LOVES chess but sadly none of us play. He enjoyed playing all of these. Didn't put it down for a week, then he had them all done. Wish there was more, sadly I haven't found any. But in my search I did find a game called Hive which is like a Chess and we all play that with him now, and the association between the bugs and how they move makes it easy to learn and remember (example: grasshoppers hop, that piece moves by hoping over other pieces).

Mind Work
The entire family loves this. My beginner 6 yo can do some fo the first card. Olders and adults do more advanced. Even my four year old can just ‘set up’ the game etc. I like trying this in the morning and getting my mind right even though I don’t play well. Perfect thing to have at home solitaire but it’s still fun to see if the other person can do it!

Genial
