Canon EOS Rebel T7/2000D For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech))

I had no idea what to do with my new camera, and after fooling around with it I thought it had been a waste of money. My iPhone takes great pictures, so why bother with something so complicated? This book explains EVERYTHING so WELL and gave me hope that I can actually learn to use this camera. Step by step, button by button, menu by menu -- it's all laid out so clearly with great illustrations. It also makes it easy to skip to another chapter to read more about a topic that's just been introduced if you want to delve deeper right away instead of reading the chapters in order. But to be clear, this is like taking a class. I could not just read it and then go take great pictures right away. I'm learning vocabulary, procedures and tricks -- with my camera in hand so that I can practice as I read. Then I go out and take some pictures. I remember some things and forget others -- but when I go back to the book and reread pages that I have questions about, it becomes more clear and I become more confident. Each day I read a little more and retain a little more, and my photos are getting better with practice. I'm so glad I purchased this book and highly recommend it as a beginner course and as a way to get the most out of your camera.

Contains some good information on using your camera. Much better than the basic manual. I keep this book on my iPad as a good reference.

Very clear and helpful

UPDATE!!! - This book is absolutely amazing. From someone who had never even owned anything but a simple point and shoot digital camera you see any teenager with, I had absolutely no knowledge on my camera nor did I have any knowledge on what goes in to making a properly exposed picture. This book literally explains all. It does bounce around (given the topic I’m not surprised) but even though it bounces around it will point you to what ever area of the book has more info on its topic or info previously covered incase you forgot. This book is the holy grail for this camera and I honestly feel like the maker should partner with canon to include it with the camera purchase. I bought this book with the intent to make a “field book/ cheat book” for easy general info when I’m out shooting away from home. Going through this book, taking notes, and learning what all my camera does and can do is amazing. It does things that I didn’t even know cameras could do. Things I thought you could only do through editing. This book leaves no stone, however big or small, unturned. If you want this book just to try to skip straight to shooting in manual, you are doing yourself a big injustice. In order to understand the camera and the exposure fully and properly you must start with the basics that come with the automatic functions. Which the book happens to start out with. There’s so many pictures to explain what it’s talking about so there’s no confusing while reading. If you own this camera you NEED this book!Original Review:So far as the book itself it’s so easy to understand. It breaks down everything to literally the point a “dummy” can understand it. It’s in a very easy to read format And from the start I’m learning stuff I either didn’t understand In the manual due to wording or just plain out not being able to easily find the information I want. I’m new to this and purchased my Cannon rebel T7 to take pictures of my daughter growing up. I’ve always had a fascination with cameras but as a beginner I need the terminology broke down and explained and this book does just that. I haven’t finished the book yet, I’m just beginning, however the amount I’ve learned from the first 14 pages is insane. Please start shipping in a box not a bag. I’m very OCD about books and because this was not properly packaged the book came with dents and dings on the cover and spine. I was a little upset about it.

The book helps find what I need quickly and simple instructions

A wonderful photography class within the covers of this book. Best Manuel of 4 I have and quickly became my go to reference guide. I purchased another edition for my wife. Instructions are clear, detailed and lots of visual graphic aides. Highly recommend for beginners to help grasp the art of photography much more quickly.

I'm very excited about how helpful this book is, especially because Canon's manual doesn't do much good. This manual is well written, very well organized and very thorough, including a useful index.I'm not new to DSLR cameras or to Canons, but in the past I struggled to crack the code on all the available controls, always thinking "there should be a way too..." Well now I have a great resource to find those ways, and not just for this DSLR, but for my Powershot too.Yay! 📷

Canon EOS Rebel T7/2000D For Dummies. There's a lot of information here. I have just glazed throughand stopped on a couple points of interest, but there is a lot of information here. Anyone new to this camera is going to have no issues learning about it and all of it's features with this books. I am looking forward to getting the mosty out of my new camera with help from this book.

The book came within 24 hours! It is a great tool if you are new to the latest Canon T7 DSLR, very fast learning curve with this book, it also has tips and tricks for digital photography, i highly recommend it great reference book for the price.

OK so its a dummies guide, but the instruction book that comes with this camera is so small text and in multiple languages, its often hard to find what you need. This book is separated into chapters clearly covering all aspects of this camera, by subject and function...plus the print is big enough to read!
