The media could not be loaded.  When I originally unboxed it in mid-June, it said the app was not supported in my country. However, when I went to set it up tonight - I was able to download the app no issues so I’m not sure what the deal was but I’m glad I gave it a second shot.I borrowed an older model Yi from a friend for a business trip so I could keep an eye on my new apartment and my cats. Naturally, she wants her camera back but I loves having the camera so much that I decided to purchase this one.So far, it’s a huge upgrade from the one she let me borrow because I’m about to control it and move it around. Image quality is improved and I love the way it looks.The night vision is pretty amazing, as well.Overall, for the price you are getting an amazing product. The alerts are somewhat spotty, but that’s no big deal for me. They still work well enough that I have been able to keep an eye on my cats and that if someone were to break in I would be able to respond fairly quickly.Thanks Yi for giving me peace of mind!*NOTE: this is my current setup with the camera at my front door. Ignore the dirty window.

Great value for the money. The camera has a clear picture and the microphone works well. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that while the app is on every now and then there is a clicking sound coming from the camera. I usually turn the app off while I am home so there's an easy solution.

As far as picture and build quality, this is as good as the official Yi cameras I have. I actually like its design more than the Yi Dome camera.However, the software and night-vision cycling have made owning this camera an awful experience.The *official* Yi cameras seem semi-intelligent when it comes to cycling night-vision on and off, and the Yi Home app allows you to disable night-vision if the camera is in a tricky spot that doesn't benefit from night vision.The Powered-by-Yi camera is incredibly bad at determining when night-vision is needed, and the constant audible clicking of the on/off cycling will annoy the hell out of you. Worse, the Yi IoT app does *not* let you turn night vision off, so you're stuck with the constant clicking. An easy software fix would make this a great camera, but as if, I do not recommend it.

Other than the picture quality which is excellent, I’m not thrilled with this camera. When it moves it’s very loud almost to the point where it’s distracting and makes it blatantly obvious there’s a camera. Also I thought I could use this with my existing Yi subscription which is not the case as it’s an entirely separate app. If I’d known I would have had to use a separate app I probably would have bought a different camera.

It doesn’t detect motions, so, i have to have an eye on it all the time to make sure of my daughter. the speaker has a lot of noise , we taught it’s our daughter’s snoring at first till we realized it is the noise of the speakers! It doesn’t send any alarms when my daughter moves in her room ... not satisfied at all unfortunately.

Package on inside came damaged but not an issue. Would have been nice if whoever owned it first left an SD card lol but overall $20 purchase I'm happy with. I have to take care of my mom because she is dasabled now and falls a lot. This helps while I am at work because it can track her as she gets around the house. I can also communicate 2 way with her if she falls and isn't by a phone plus I get notifications anytime the camera either senses motion or motion tracking is engaged (settings allow for which)

works great, a little concerned you have to download a Chinese app, I think I am a little paranoid and watching too many movies.... in any case, the product is top notch and works great as advertised

It is a very good camera, the only thing I didn't like is that it uses a different app than the YI Cloud 1080p Dome camera
