Decent POE Switch for the price
Nothing too fancy, The Din rail mount was a little finicky. Something to keep in mind is that if you do need to use the PoE (which is probably why you are buying this) note that it requires a separate 48VDC power source. This will be in addition to the 24VDC that powers the switch itself. Also note this is a 10/100, not a 1G. I used it for powering a wifi router for the PLC in my home.

Perfect Din Rail Mount Switch
I mounted this on a din rail. Along with a power supply and outlet. The installation came out clean. And the POE switch is powering up 3 cameras.

A great product but....
I have a similar product that has lasted me over three years so far. It has six (6) Ports (one in / five out). This product is one Port less but it is very good quality. However, although this is a great product there are two things that lets it down. Rather than produce an Ethernet Hub with a mains powered connection this doesn't as it only comes with a couple of wires and where there should be a socket they have put a terminal socket thus more money needs to be spent and a bit of inconvenience before this Ethernet Hub can be used. The only reason I can see for this is cost cutting. The other thing that lets this down is that this is a low data transfer product and is almost obsolete as I type this review. The data t6ransfer speeds for this HUb is 10 / 100Mbps and yet most manufacturers are now selling 10 / 100 / 1000Mbps Hubs today. The small booklet that comes with this indicates the Ethernet Ports as "Fibre" so they may be fine for those on 56Mbps Networks but for those that are on Networks above 1000Mbps then this will cause some serious bottlenecking and lagging of data / media content. Around the UK 1Gb FTTH networks are expanding daily so it's only a short time when almost nobody will be on a network that gives less than 100Mbs. The latest games systems and PCs demand the fastest speeds and will struggle. Even watching Netflix' 4K (UHD) content requires a fast and reliable network and sadly this Hub just simply will not cope in my home. It will be fine for some things such as one of my TVs and the HD DVD Player but moist of my bandwidth will still pass through my main hub that is a 10 / 100 / 1000 MBps Hub.This Ethernet Hub is well built, it is strong and it can do a good job with devices that were purchased a number of years ago but with 8K TV and 8K Bluray just around the corner, with 1Gbps FTTH Networks, I simply cannot recommend this as there is no future proofing, corners have been cut to reduce manufacturing costs and although it is good quality I can't see any good value in something that is already outdated in addition to the extra costs needed and the inconvenience before this can be used.

Built for a working environment, not really suitable for domestic use.
WIWAV WDH-5ET-POE 10/100Mbps Unmanaged 5-Port PoE Industrial Ethernet SwitchThis is a solid piece of kit allowing for 10/100Mbps unmanaged and PoE, the unit is built like a tank and will no doubt fit comfortably in an industrial environment, as such you're paying a higher premium for reliability, where other cheaper units would fail, £69.98 seems expensive however it offers the following:✔ IP30 rating - Protected against condensation and objects above 2.5mm✔ Wide operating temperature - -30C to +75C✔ Din rail/wall rack mount✔ Lightening Protection✔ Good shock/vibration resilience✔ Overload protection✔ Redundant dual power✔ Excellent MTBF of 357,000hrs (Mean Time Between Failure)I have tested this ethernet switch in a home setting and was connected to an existing 1Gbps network. It performed adequately with good data transfer up to the 100Mbps mark, the PoE is a necessity for most set ups especially in the working environment to reduce cable clutter and faster installation. The power supply into this switch can vary from 12/24/36 or 48V DC.On a whole, it's obviously not built for domestic use, not having the 1Gbps capability maybe a hinderance for home use but in a working environment large data transfers aren't necessarily required in all cases.I'm very happy to recommend this product from WIWAV.

max write speed 91mbps, max read speed 93mbps
The media could not be loaded. this is a 5 ports 10/100mbps industrial switch, which could be used in extreme environments; description of this switch mentioned it could be used in -30 to 75 degree environment, the housing is ip30, that means it’s protected from accident hit or damage by slightly impact or small hand toolsthe maximum speed of this switch is 100mbps, quite old technology when compare to commonly used gigabit (1000mbps) switch; but for many industrial device that doesn’t need heavy data transfer, 10/100mbps is still good enoughtested it with 5 network devices and the max write speed was 91mbps, and max read speed was 93mbps, pretty good throughput rate for a 10/100mbps switchthere are 2 set of power inputs, voltage from 12v to 48v, also it’s rack mountableall in all, this product does the job, i’m happy with it

Simple corporate back office 5 port slow ethernet switch
The problems I have with the WIWAV WDH-5ET-POE 10/100Mbps unmanaged 5-port PoE industrial ethernet switch are no reflection on WIWAV, who have produced what it’s obvious to any techie is a small but weighty piece of quality equipment that I have no doubt will do the job it’s intended for.But the project I gleefully picked it up for, without reading the small print, is domestic. If you watch the many BBC antique programmes you’ll know one of their experts has a mantra, that weight indicates value. At time of review the WIWAV switch is £69.98 and by the look and weight of it that wouldn’t be corporate money mis-spent.I’m so frustrated I can’t use it or honestly give it a better grade. For what it is, it’s lovely.

PoE is a great feature.
The first thing that struck me is the weight and build quality, the entire casing is made of sturdy metal which resulted in the unit being heavy. This weight gave me reassurance of sturdiness and reliability as I use it to control my CCTV system. Upon plugging in the Ethernet cable all the cameras worked instantly which is true to its plug and play abilities.I’m not an IT tech and I don’t really understand the wizardry behind it, all I need to know is the end result and this unit delivers at the moment without fail.Another added feature is PoE, which helps to declutter wire.
