Hair Removal Wax, 5 Ounce

I tried this once way back and being a girl who has dealt with facial hair most of my life. I didn’t have the money to go back to the salon every three weeks for a chin and eyebrow wax and I surely don’t how expensive everything is now this wax took a little bit to figure out. You definitely have to heat it longer than the instructions say once it’s to the right consistency. I think another reviewer called it, honey. You can use applicators or a blunt toothpick to more accurately apply wax for say eyebrows for example, I sit at a table with one of those plug-in lighted mirrors. Just have to be careful and figure out what works for you. You want the right consistency I have a scar which creates a thin spot in my eyebrow well there are more stubborn hairs near that spot once I figure out how much and how thick I need to apply the wax I always do it a little further than I need to, so it has a bit of a tail that way when it’s hardened, I can pull the whole thing off. The wax becomes a strip itself, and it gets rid of the need to use strips, which is very appreciated at least for facial hair. Doing my eyebrows myself at home versus spending God knows how much at the salon it’s a no-brainer.

I read the other review and I just had to write one myself about this product.I just purchased this product somewhere else, but now I want to buy more so I looked to see if Amazon carried it.I have been waxing since I can remember, using all different types of products. So when I came across this one, I just had to give it a chance and see if it was as painless and easy to use as it states it is.To begin, the other review is correct in that it does take more than the initial 2 minutes the instructions say. However, the instructions also say to check and if needed, "heat for additional 30 second increments until desired consistency is met."I did just that and followed their instructions as not to overheat (boil) and also reach a "honey-like consistency throughout."Bottom line is that this is the first product that I have used that DOES NOT STICK to my face or any other body part, and that does not leave my skin red or burnt. It removed quite easily and my comment to my husband was: "WOW, this product is actually painless and easy to use!"It took me about 4 minutes to melt the wax. It is very important to follow the instructions and stir the wax completely until the consistency is like honey and that it DOES NOT OVERHEAT!The manufacturer recommends to let it stand 1 minute after stirring, and what I find is that you do need to get to know your microwave, since they are not all the same. Also, be sure to test it in a small area first, which is also recommended, and adjust the melting accordingly. IMPORTANT, do not apply the wax so thin. That makes it hard to remove hair and to remove from skin. Be generous and apply a thicker layer.I would recommend this product and I just think that like other products, sometimes it takes a few practices.

I've read some of the reviews saying it doesn't work or it hurts. I learned that you have to use this a certain way. Melt it, but temper it just like you would chocolate. If it's too hot, it will be too runny and it won't work great and will drip. (if it does drp, just let it dry hard and it will come off anything.) Practice makes perfect and after some trial and error you will get it to the right consistency. Once applied let it dry...until it's rock hard! If at all sticky it won't work. Once hard, use your nail to lift an edge. Once you can grab an edge, rip fast against hair growth. Look closely at what you pulled off and you will be shocked to see how many hairs are sticking to it. People say it hurts, but what waxing doesn't? For me it hurts no more than pulling off a bandaid that got stuck to some hair.

Horrible .not worth at all . It was only sugar was sticky as it used to be . I have been buying it go many many years it’s the first Time l bought 2 of them ..worth nothing I had to through it in garabage . It’s Wonder Wax .

I really like this wax and have had success using it for hair removal. I use it for unwanted facial hair and also underarm hair. I haven't ever tried it on legs because it is such a large area. It can be hard to get it to melt and it takes much longer than the time suggested in the directions. Also continued reheating will take away from consistency. After several times it becomes about the consistency of bubble gum and does not spread well. What I found worked best was to melt it in a bowl of hot water, and then keeping it in the hot water will help keep the desired consistency for longer. Yes, it hurts pulling out the hair, but so does salon waxing. Over time the hair will thin and hurt less. In fairness, expecting a home wax kit to work like a salon waxing is like expecting Hamburger Helper to taste like what you get in an Italian restaurant. Compared to other home waxing products I have used, I have found this to be the best.

I have been looking for an at-home, microwavable wax for a few years, ever since the brand I had used before was discontinued. This wax is amazing. It is easy to use, very effective, and doesn’t smell horrible! I’m thinking about buying a bunch more, in case they stop making this one too, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Saves me over a $20 every two weeks. I have unwanted facial hair (when left unchecked I grow a goatee) As a single mother of a small child I can not have this. (My son is honest, and is trying to learn gender identification) At the local saloon a wax costs $20 and I need one every 2-3 weeks. This product is $10 and lasts me 6 months. and if the Reusable Sticks get to crummy to use, a craft stick works just fine. Follow instructions.

Absolute rubbish and dangerous. Followed tfe instructions and nearly set the house on fire when it all exploded in the microwave!
