I love that this is lightweight and folds up -- I don't carry a large camera bag so I didn't want a lot of extra equipment that would necessitate me getting a larger bag or carrying a second one. I have a Canon 70D and this works great with my external flash when I want a softer effect. Such a simple device -- you don't need to get anything more expensive. This was recommended to me my a professional photographer and I'm so glad that I got one. It's especially nice when doing portraits because it softens the effects of the flash. Because it has velcro, it's adjustable will attach to many different flashes. It didn't loosen or fall off while I was using it, and I was using my camera freehand do I was moving around quite a bit. For the size and price, you really can't go wrong.

At first I thought the velcro was to wrap around the outside is the flash diffuser box, but it always falls off like this. Once I figured out how it actually works though, it's quite ingenious. The velcro had a soft rubbery feeling side to it that is not slippery when against the plastic housing of the flash. Your supposed to wrap the velcro step securely and tightly around the edge of the housing on the flash so that the soft plastic is on the inside and the velcro is on the outside. Then the diffuser attaches to the velcro on the flash. Then it becomes easy to put on and take off the diffuser when you need it. The velcro part basically stays on the flash until you take it off. Everyone who has problems with it falling off I suspect I'd not using it right. It fits snug and tight and never falls off when I attach it this way. Otherwise, quality is great, does what it's supposed to in diffusing flashes so it's not so harsh on the subject. I also like how it folds flat to store easily in camera bag. Works greatwith my m4/3 compact setup. Great buy for the money. I only docked 1 star for lack of instructions on how to use the attachment velcro properly.

Excellent product

Works as needed and expected. Size is decent. Can be a teensy fiddly to get it to stay on your light, but should get easier to use the more I use and become more familiar with it. Foldability is great. Love that it comes in it's own packaging/envelope to keep it safe and clean when it is not in use.

This is better than any diffuser I have bought for using with a flash for outdoor macro photography - I would put this up against a cygnustech or AK diffuser any day - it matches or outperforms, is more easier to set up, the materials are of a stiff but flexible vinyl and its held up in the elements. Also the price is 1/5th of the diffusers made specifically for macro that I mentioned, yet this is more versatile as it works with multiple lens and camera combinations. The images I get with this have minimal to no hotspots, and fits perfectly with both the Godox V1 and Godox v350 flash.

Surprised there is no interior collapsible wire support infrastructure to hold the shape of this flash diffuser emplaced on a flash (Nikon SB800 in my case). I have no confidence this will hold its shape over time. I will fashion an internal support system, yet again improving on another product I have purchased. I am available, for a fee, since my time as a Program Analyst is valuable, to be a product tester to help companies avoid low product reviews. I am not sure how companies decide to reduce the cost of a product by a small dollar amount, through poor product design and implementation while accepting, either knowingly or without having conducted a cost/benefit analysis of customer satisfaction or low user reviews.

How is it possible to rate this item as anything less than five stars? It's inexpensive, light, flattens out like a piece of paper, and yet still gets the job done: when you need to use a flash and don't want the harsh effects of a direct light source, this will do the trick. But it's not just the cost that makes this item appealing. Because it is so light, and because it flattens out so nicely, its highly portable and easy to carry with you, even when you're not sure you'll need it. The cloth (actually, a nylon mesh) opens up to wedge shape with a smaller rectangular opening on the opposite side of the diffuser cloth. You slip the opening over your flash unit, and then secure it by wrapping around the supplied Velcro strap. It's that easy. If you are worried that it might come lose and drop off right at the most inconvenient moment, you can always use a little bit of tape to secure it in place. But if you take the time to mount it and wrap the Velcro strap on, it should not fall off (unless you are shooting outside in windy conditions, where the extra holding power of tape might be warranted.) The cloth and seam quality seem to be very good, and I don't expect any trouble arising from construction issues. The diffuser cloth itself is slightly less flexible, so when you open it up and mount it, the diffuser forms a flat surface. An easy five stars.
