My dog no longer pulls like a team of sled dogs!
EzyDog Chest Plate Harness, Size Large in Black, for a 68 pound male German Shepherd.I had read the comments of another reviewer saying her dog can now be controlled since using this harness. I wholeheartedly agree! My 68 pound German Shepherd would exhaust me during our walks using either a regular collar or a Martingale collar. My husband kept pushing to purchase a prong collar in an effort to control our boy, but I refused to put one on him (he's 18 months old and a gentle giant). I could only imagine how those metal spikes must feel digging into my own neck let alone my furry friend. I know there are a lot of believers in the prong collar approach, I'm just not one of them. The large EzyDog Chest Plate Harness fits perfectly (mine is black). I keep the front loop that goes over his head snapped, so all I have to do is slip it over his head and have him lift his right leg through the right loop behind the chest plate(easily done and he's almost at a point where he'll do it himself) slide the open end behind his left leg, bring it up his side to his back and connect to the female end of the buckle which is next to the d-ring. It may sound complicated, but it's not - I simply wanted to detail the steps, and it has become a simple motion.I think the chest plate is what performs the magic. It's quite substantial and measures 11" long by 3-1/2" across at its widest point at the top, is not irritating and does not impede his gait. I believe the pressure he feels on his chest when he starts to pull keeps him in check. With a normal collar, he would constantly pull(which was probably only succeeding in making his neck stronger and stronger); and if he spied another dog ahead of us, I lifted off like the Flying Nun! People would ask "Looks like he's taking you for a walk again?". Those days are over, thanks to the EzyDog.....my left knee, foot and elbow couldn't take the strain and abuse of the constant tugging anymore. The materials are sturdy, especially the d-ring to which you clip your leash. It's even easier to clip your leash in with this harness because the d-ring is on the top of the dog's back, not under his neck, lost in the fur, as sometimes happens with a regular collar.By the way, I had also purchased the 6' long Gentle Tug leash in red which has a stretchy 1' long band sewn into the red nylon to absorb shock - for the times our pup would lurch forward or quickly change direction. It's the perfect complement to the EzyDog Chest Harness, though you can't leave slack in the leash or his leg will tangle in the leash loop closest to his harness.EzyDog also makes a bungee type leash, an extension and a life vest. I've purchased the leash/extension for my son to use when he goes long boarding with our pup and will review it in the future. The life vest is on back order so I'll review that piece of equipment once received and we have a chance to go to a local pond for a game of fetch with his new floating Frisbee......our pup seems to need as much gear as a new baby!

Worked Fine, Shopping Again for Replacement...Probably Won't Re-Buy
I have this on a small 17 lb Pug/Boston mix that pulls like a truck whether I am walking him or he's tied out in the yard, no matter how much exercise he's gotten he will pull and pull until things break or a harness comes off. Yes, I get that this is a training issue, however the dog has been an a-hole for his entire 5 year life and he will probably continue to be.The Good:He has never completely pulled his way out of this harness. The chest plate seems to keep the harness from being able to twist completely around his body. Only ONCE did he manage to get a paw under the chest plate so it was on his shoulder instead of chest, but it stayed on the dog.The reflective-ness is VERY good and VERY visible! I mostly know this because my dog loves to run out in front of / lunge at cars, bikes, motorcycles, etc at every opportunity. He's kind of a jerk like that. The Bad:The strap material is so thin! It's only one layer and it's not thick webbing at all. I was initially so disappointed and thought it would immediately wear through, but it somehow hasn't. The only part that looks dodgy is the webbing that holds the D-ring for the leash, which is starting to fray just a little. The chest plate is a dog-hair magnet. If I didn't know better, I would think it was actually MADE of dog hair. I think originally it was fleecy / felt material, but it became embedded with dog hair...it's literally woven INTO it...so early on that I don't remember. I can sit there and pluck and pluck little chunks of hair out of it for what seems like hours...could probably re-build the dog with what comes out of there...and yet it never gets down to where I can see the base material. Pugs are notorious for their shedding ability, though, and it would probably not be so bad on a short-haired dog.The D-ring...oh how I hate the D-ring. It has rotated inside its loop so that the curved part is toward the dog, and the flat part is out. (Rotated 180 degrees). I used to grab it and put it right every time I saw that it was turned around...which was 2x per day at least. I no longer bother. It bugs me to see it. I've never had that happen on any other harness, even store-bought ones for half the price of this one.So overall...if you can't find any other chest-plate harnesses and want one...get this one, it's fine. I will be searching for another brand. If I can't find anything else I might re-buy but I have to hope there is something better out there, or else EzyDog makes a more "premium" product...because this one just felt cheap. Concept was good, execution left me wishing for more.

A great harness, but hard to put on
The harness works great and seems durable; once I got it properly fitted to my puppy I didn't have any issues with it sliding around at all and there's definitely no way she could slip out of it. I also really like the range of bright colors. There are only two things I don't like about this harness:It doesn't have a D–ring on the chest for no–pull leash attachment even though they had the perfect opportunity fir it.And how difficult the step–in design makes putting the harness on my puppy: every time I put it on her it's a struggle with her thinking it's play time.It might be better when she's older and more relaxed, but I think I'll go back to the type of harness that goes over the head and around the belly when she outgrows this one.

No Back Out. Reliable
This works great for our Shiba, he is unable to back out of it the way he did with a harness from Target. Highly recommend.

Easy to use
I bought this for my Bulldog, (had always used a different brand).. but it was suggested that the one I was using was effecting/ restricting her movement..She loves this harness, so do we, it's easy to put on and take off.. its light weight but strong..my Bulldog doesn't pull when on the lead, so I don't know how it would be with a dog that does pull..A good product that I am happy to recommend.

Great Harness
Have been using this harness for years - all on staffies - so they have to be tough. Other brands are out there, but I have stuck to Ezy Dog as it has never let me down. BUT ... they do wear out after a while - a strong dog/mud/weather/wear & tear, so have to be renewed.

Dog harness
Good so far for reversing out of a harness, she hasn’t done it so far.

Very comfortable and stylish
Stylish colour and very light. Allows the dog to stay fresh unlike other harnesses. Car belt fitting is an added bonus.

Love Ezydog
This is my second Ezydog.. This fits my 7 month old pug perfectly.. Hes had a small since he was 11 weeks old, He's around 9kgs.. Doesn't rub under his arms and always feels secure.. He hasn't managed to get out of it yet.. Great for short nose breeds and this puts no pressure on his neck at all. This is lovely camo colour, looks lovely against his coat. I wash these in the washer on a 40oc wash. Come out lovely and fresh.
