ASURION 4 Year Laptop Protection Plan ($900 - $999.99)

I always wondered if these warranty programs work, and I can say for sure that they do. We purchased a 4-year warranty on an expensive laptop. The laptop stopped working during year 3. We contacted Asurion then sent in the laptop according to their instructions. We have now received a refund for the original purchase price of the laptop. The process of having the warranty honored was quick and relatively straightforward.

I purchased an ASUS ROG gaming laptop in 2019 along with a 48-month protection plan from Asurion. Throughout the years, their service has been exemplary, standing out for their attentive customer care and efficient repair processes.The journey began with occasional repairs that were handled seamlessly by their team. The representatives were not only courteous but also adept at diagnosing issues. When it became clear that the laptop's problems were hardware-related, they promptly organized a shipping box with a prepaid label, streamlining the repair process.Their repair services were commendable until the last instance. Despite their efforts, my laptop became irreparable. Yet, Asurion surprised me by refunding the full purchase price via an Amazon gift card. While the refund was appreciated, it would have been more convenient if it had been returned to the original payment method, providing flexibility in its use.Overall, Asurion's protection plan and tech support have been a lifesaver for my laptop, offering reliable assistance and quality repairs. The only suggestion for improvement would be to consider offering refunds back to the original payment method, granting customers more flexibility in their reimbursement options.

Do you consider if an extended warranty is worth it when making a purchase on Amazon? I will state unequivocally, 100%, absolutely Yes. In 2019 we purchased an expensive gaming laptop for our grandson and without hesitation added the 4-year Asurion Accident Protection Plan. This is year 4, and his laptop had several problems, missing keys, Bluetooth, Cooling fan, DVD drive and microphone no longer worked correctly. I contacted Asurion, they sent me a postage paid box to return the laptop to them. I had a case number to check on the status of the repair. They also kept me updated via text message an email on the case. On day four I was notified that they were unable to repair the laptop, within 24 hours I received an Amazon gift card for the original price I had paid for the laptop. I cannot say how impressed I was with the entire process, from notification to receiving the gift card for the entire purchase price of the laptop. The laptop was used for1000's of hours over that period of time. There is no consideration for partial deduction. They reimbursed me for the entire purchase price of the laptop. They never questioned how the laptop had sustained the damage, in other words, No Questions Asked. The process could not have been easier and did not cost me a penny. When I replace the laptop, I will not hesitate to purchase the Asurion Accident Protection Plan. It is money well spent!

I've used Asurion 3 times over the last decade or so, and I highly highly highly recommend them. I have nothing but good things to say about them. When you file a claim, they mail you an empty box with pre-paid label and secure padding for shipping. Just ship it on out and give them a few days for diagnosis/repair.When I had an issue with my laptop's WiFi card, they helped me troubleshoot it over the phone. When nothing worked, I sent it in and they got right to work replacing it. More than that, my Caps Lock key was damaged when I removed it after spilling water on my PC. Even though my repair ticket was solely for the Wifi issue, they also repaired my Caps Lock key! Their repair team is the definition of above and beyond and I cannot recommend them enough.When my laptops have failed in the past, filing a claim was easy as pie. After taking them to my local computer repair store to retrieve my data, I'd mail them to Asurion and wait them to diagnose the issue. They were very good about communicating where they were in the claim process, texting me to let me know that they'd received it and if they'd ordered parts. It usually took a few days, no more than a week. When it turned out they were unable to repair it (motherboard issues in the last two, can't recall the prior issue), they would keep the item as they clearly stated would be the case and email me a gift card for the value of the product, up to the maximum alloted in the plan I purchased. I literally haven't paid for a new computer since I bought my first one in 2015, and I've had 3 mid/high range gaming laptops since the (soon to be 4).
