Worked right out of the box. I lit candles, gas stove top, kindling, and cardboard. Worked very well.I love the safety features. Other designs can be accidently lit in a purse or back pack. But to use this, you have to first unfold it, then unlock it and finally press the button. Having to go through all those steps gives me more confidence about using it.I hear recharging can be tricky so I will update once I do that. Other than that one reservation, I wish it came with a sleeve of some type, but Im glad it has a hole big enoungh for a small carabiner.I love it so I am giving it 5 stars.

I love the foldable design. Versatility of a traditional long-neck lighter, but small enough to easily throw in a backpack. Despite the plastic construction it feels fairly solid and durable. However, mine arrived DOA. Push the button and nothing happens. Charged it overnight just to be sure, but still nothing. Very disappointed. I have not been able to find another foldable arc lighter.

This is an amazing concept and I love the idea of its long-term use. I would give it more stars, but it always takes a little while to light my candles and the shape is prohibitive with some other things (cigarettes, etc). I also bought it specifically to get into tough candle jars but it recently ended up coated with wax as I struggled to keep a candle lit.

This is the first arc lighter I've owned. I really like not having to use fluid. The life of a charge is really great. Playing around with it and with actual use, the charge lasted over two weeks. The only complaint, and this may be a limitation of the tech, is the space where the arc is emitted is rather small. Even when lighting a candle wick I end up touching the electrodes.

i put them in all my cars. Never know when your going to need one in the winter.

Works good, the design is good for a electric / tesla coil lighter.

Best feature is that it can be recharged. Easily lights fire on grill and outdoor fire pit.
