I just got mine and I love whipping it out of my hair to use in front of unsuspecting people. Instead of searching for keys or a knife to open letters and packages, the Tacticlip is within easy reach and I always know where it is. I have black hair so it easily blends in so no one sees it. I think it's a great gift for any friend who likes to be prepared and likes to keep things simple 😉

I got these because it made sense that my hair clips did more than just hold hair in place. I also got a competitor's product at about the same time. I prefer these for a couple reasons. First, they hold more securely than the other product. I have very thick hair and these hold my hair in place and stay where I put them. After a few hours, I had to rearrange the competitor's product because the grip loosened and/or the clips moved. Second, I like the raptor claw and saw blade. It's surprising how often you need something sharp to open a letter, box, or other packaging. When your "cutter" is clipped to your hair, it's always there, always accessible. Before buying these, I read a number of reviews and questions about the product. Some of the questions were whether these cut or snagged hair while in use. I have not had either of those problems with Tacticlips but I have had hair snagged by the competitor's product. One thing to be aware of with these clips, if you put them in with the raptor point up off your hair/scalp, that may grab a hat if you wear one over the clips. That's mostly a problem with knit hats. I just take out the clips before I put on a hat now. They are so easy to put in that that is the easiest solution. Problem solved. Finally, I had a minor issue with the product I received. I contacted the manufacturer by email at the address specified in the note that came with the product. I got a response the morning of the next business day! They resolved my issue to my complete satisfaction. It's nice to deal with responsible companies. In summary, if you need something to keep your hair out of your eyes or hold it in place, and want something more versatile than a simple barrette, these should do the job perfectly. I recommend this product without reservation.

A few months ago my dad was scrolling amazon, and tacticlips popped up as something he may be interested in. He was intrigued, so he purchased a set and gave one to my sister, my mother and I. We all thought it was a really cool idea, whether it actually worked or not, and have been wearing them since then. In that time, I have used my tacticlip more than once for a variety of reasons. I have used it to open packages, I have used it as an emergency screwdriver, I have used the ruler to measure while sewing and working on other random projects, I have used it to cut thread, and I have used the saw more than once to cut little twigs and sticks, (let me tell you, kids at the daycare where I work are VERY entertained by "my cutting clip"!) and, of course, I have used it as a hair clip! I have used the clip so many times that the paint wore off, and I had to purchase another set! If nothing else, it's a cool little party trick to cut a piece of paper and watch people say "whoa"!

I just got my package of Tacticlips. So far they've been great at their primary function of holding back my hair and I've been able to use the serated edge to remove annoying tags. I'm excited to see where I can use them next!
