VASAGLE Bookshelf, Bookcase, 5 Tiers, Office Shelf, Open Shelf, Large, Metal Structure, Industrial Style, Heather Greige and Ink Black LBC012B02

I have bought several items of Vasagle branded furniture from this seller over recent years and all have been particularly decent. I bought 2 of these bookcases (they were delivered on the same day but separately) and you need to be aware that each of the boxes are very heavy indeed. As with all Vasagle products I've bought in the industrial design, they were easy to put together. One thing to be aware of, though, is that one side of each of the metal side sections has 2 holes drilled into each section. This is to take the slim metal struts, so check you have those side pieces facing the correct way. Additionally, if you want the shelf sections to fall in exactly the same position to match, make sure you follow how you built the first one otherwise you can find that you are building a mirror image (which looks good if you have two side by side but not if you have more). The unit is very heavy - I stuck furniture gliders (available from Amazon) on the bottoms of the legs and this made it very easy to push each unit into place before filling up with books. Unless you have a spare pair of trusty hands to help you out, you will be constructing this whilst crawling around the floor. Construction - I need hardly say but it is absolutely simple, the two most difficult parts were fitting the top to the bottom of each of the metal sides, and removing the white stickers with the identifier letters on. Take your time, don't screw every bolt tightly until you've finished, and all done in well under an hour. Final thoughts? They look good either side of a desk, they hold a huge number of books - and I wish I had bought 3.

As a fussy shopper I took ages to decide on a bookcase. I work from home so I wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing. I first purchased a unit from Argos Habitat range. It was a box style unit for around £100. That was returned as not only did it look cheap, some of the panels were misshapen. That was returned and to replace it I looked around and found this Vasagle bookcase. I read the reviews and took a gamble, after all the Habitat unit had five stars too! This bookcase is excellent value for money. I was thinking I may have to paint the shelves as I thought the wood finish would be cheap and tacky. It is surprisingly really decent and I have left it. This was fairly easy to assemble, the parts are all labelled to make putting it together easy as A B C. The instructions are clear and simple to follow. It took around 45 minutes from unpacking to standing in its new home. No drill was needed, it came with two Allen/Hex keys. It is very sturdy and as yet I haven’t strapped it to the wall, it’s incredibly stable and with adjustable feet you can get it perfectly level. The shelves hold a lot of files, including lever arch. Box files don’t stand upright but they do fit laying down. I’d highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to store heavy items. The shelves are really strong. It fits a small space really well and I will be adding further items from the range for more storage.

I have wanted this for a while and it is so easy to put together it comes with an Allen key too. Very sturdy and looks gorgeous! I would say the only thing that isn’t great is the round stickers they label the parts with they could make them easy to peel off

Took a while to assemble, but very sturdy and stylish when completed. Just some niggles regarding the quality; poorly formed joints on the uprights and no blanking plugs to hide the screw holes on the shelves. Sticky labels were a devil to remove too, but that can be common on many products. Overall, happy with the purchase.

If you like this style of furniture, there is NOTHING to dislike about this Vasagle Book Shelf. I have lots of Vasagle furniture now and I love every piece. I even have a Vasagle bed frame and it's gorgeous. The book shelf arrived before the expected date, which was a bonus, and as with all the other items, it was a breeze to put up. My daugher loves putting this furniture together because there is nothing fiddly or difficult. I'm arthritic and disabled and I managed to put one item together. MY THIRTEEN YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER BUILT THIS SHELF UNIT IN LESS THAN AN HOUR!!!!!! And she actually enjoyed doing it. It looks lovely, it's sturdy and so functional. I can't praise this style of furniture enough, whoever the company is, but Vasagle is way out there in front. Thank you.

This product is amazing, I wanted a cheap shelf unit, but this product is great, it is worth twice the price, its well made looks really good.

Good value for money and easy to assemble. I wish they had more colors.

The bookcase came well packaged. The instructions were really clear. Everything was clearly labelled, including all the different screws etc I put it together myself, it might have been a bit quicker or easier with two people, but was no trouble at all. Great quality and feels really sturdy. Looks exactly like it does in the images.
