No instructions came with the product. So I did a you tube search for instructions, which were easy to follow. The tools came in very handy.However it did not work in the first instance.1. I checked the connectors and used the black plastic prod to really push the strip into the circuit.Tip: take a picture of the circuit connection before you disassemble the strips - the videos I saw were too dark to know exactly what a good fit is suppose to look like. In my case the white strip was visible when connected and flush up against the chip..2. Make sure you are powered up before you start - I was low on battery - obviously didn't power up.3. Plug in then hold the power button and the home button simultaneously for over 20 seconds - it started! Apple logo displayed.4. Another issue, the kit does not come with double sided adhesive tape or adhesive - I needed it in my case.Overall, not hard to install and product is fine, disconcerting when it doesn't work due to operator error.

I bought this for my daughters iPad for Christmas. Let me first say that my daughter is 2 (the iPad was given to us used by a friend) so you can imagine the wear and tear it goes thru on a daily basis. The case has held up remarkably!!! It's withstood spills, drops, etc. my only complaint is that the kickstand is flimsy and in a weird spot. The kickstand actually broke, which I halfway expected.

Never install it without going through the video! This item works perfectly if installed properly. However it is not for the faint hearted. I accidentally torn the wifi antenna apart and its damn easy to do. All the demo videos I watched fail to mention that the antenna is right next to the home button and can easily get ripped off. Fortunately it still works even though it was disconnect from the metal frame. Got lucky so far but it was definitely scary since I didn't know what it is. Also you must watch the video thoroughly so you know exactly how to disconnect the lcd and the digitizer properly. I wasn't patient enough to watch the exact video for iPad 3 and almost destroyed the connectors.In addition it is lot more difficult than I expected. The shredded glass actually hurt my finger and blood stained my iPad in the process. No big deal but just be careful, very careful!20150315 update: The new screen cracked without accidents. don't know why but it seems that the screen is not durable at all in comparison to the original. After spending the time and effort to replace, I expected something more durable and at least last a bit longer. Very disappointed.

Received everything, followed a YouTube gadget Menders video, bought 10 small clips, gloves, compressed air and scotch gel super glue from Home Depot, and went to work. Thank you Mrs Murphy for your hair dryer. It took about 2 hours because the glass was cracked and broken everywhere. Take your time, for good results. Don't be afraid to change your gloves several times and even take a break if you get frustrated rather than ruin the lcd screen. Be careful when applying the super glue and change your gloves after you apply it. Everything turned out awesome! Thank you so much! I never write reviews. Everything turned out like new.

It was great that the inner frame came with the adhesive already in place.I am give it a 3 star because the connective tape was a little to long and give me trouble to close it, and it does not came with adhesive to hold it in place, but easy fix with painter tape.Also the glass crack at the bottom already.

I like the product but you have to have a steady hand to install and tons of patience, luckily my husband does for this type of job. but it didn't come with instructions so you would have to you tube how to install.

The best I can say about this part is that it does work. You can see the lines in the screen pretty well. The adhesive does not stay even if you clean the edges down to metal and plastic. But if you put the iPad in a cover you'd never know really. You only get one screw driver that does not work very well because the phillips head is pretty chinsy. But really those are free parts so you can't really complain on that. My screen lasted about 5 days before it broke again but that is due to my kid I figure. They are not gorilla glass just plastic. I am sure that if you bought this for an adults iPad and they intended to keep it in a case that would be fine.

Fits great, worked as I hoped it would. One thing I gotta warn all shoppers if u didn't know this but if u replace ur own broken iPad and then take it to apple store because it's not turning on or is stuck on the iTunes logo. Well u will be out of luck because they don't consider it an apple product anymore it's something else. In other words u gotta she'll out $200 to Apple :) But anyway we like the screen happy we got it and got the iPad back on :)
