IZOD Men's Heritage Short Sleeve Solid Pique Polo

IZOD has been selling the Heritage polo series for many years, previously made in Bangladesh and now made in India. The differences between older and newer runs are negligible; some slightly different stitching around the sleeve cuff and a bit of extra material below the collar line.The weight of the shirt is not as heavy as compared to a higher end full knit like the classic Tommy Hilfiger polos but is quite heavier than, for example, a budget brand polo like Fruit of the Loom. This good mid-range material weight combined with a classic semi-slim cut lets the shirt fall straight down my torso and stay put there.Of the 6 newer style IZOD Heritage polos I've bought over the last year or so, all size XL, there was minimal difference in cut size with the most obvious variation being a drift of about 3/4'' in length from shirt to shirt.My experience is that the shirts will shrink a decent amount after each wash but I've always managed to be able to *carefully* stretch them in certain places to restore them to the fit I like. Likewise, wearing them and getting in and out of a car all day, especially when its humid, does cause the lower rear half of the shirt to fan out but washing has restored them every time for me.Price wise here on Amazon I buy them when I see them around the $15-20 range and to me that's a great value. I've seen them listed higher and I just wait because while its a good shirt there's no reason to pay more when I know they'll sell for less sooner or later.If you're like me and expect that purchasing a new item means you will receive NEW item then pay attention to the bag this shirt comes in. As far as I have seen from my 6 purchases: a NEW IZOD Heritage polo bought through Amazon (that is a truly new one, not one that has been previously worn or returned or opened and is then regarded as "new") will come neatly quarter-folded in a tape-sealed clear plastic bag. If yours comes haphazardly shoved into an opened bag then, well, maybe consider why that is...

The color of these is excellent. I have a good eye for color, and I've noticed with most black and grey clothing that they are usually a little off: somewhat bluish, or somewhat reddish, etc. These seem to be a very true black.The buttons are well placed. With just the bottom button buttoned the gap is just right. The sleeve sits a little past halfway down the bicep. When it is new the opening of the sleeve is a little tight, but they stretch out permanently to fit more comfortably. The fabric isn't the softest, but is comfortable.I have two complaints: the tags on the left side seem are noisy and uncomfortable, and the cut isn't straight. These are made exclusively for tucking in. You can wear them tucked in, but you really shouldn't. It doesn't look right, and anyone fashion conscious (or just aesthetics consciolus) will notice.

Edit: The little logo on the breast is different... In mine it's threaded in black thread - in this pic, it's threaded in white. I don't know if that also makes a difference, but Ijust think it's weird the price is now so drastic. I just ordered them like a week ago and they're already doublein price. :/I didn't contact customer service because it wasn't necessary; here is my experience:The shirts are great - I ordered two Black XL shirts (I got Black because they were cheaper, and match anything). I do disagree with the huge price difference for the other colors, so I think the seller should come down on those prices.The only complaint I have about the shirts are the hems on the end of the sleeves. They are a little too tight for my taste and force the sleeve to hug your arm. If you're going for showing off those guns, then this isn't a problem. Personally, I prefer function over fashion, so I like my sleeves to be a little loose so it's easier for air to get under the cloth (it's a good quality, kind of heavy grade - perhaps a short-sleeve shirt best meant for Fall weather?). But if you only wear these shirts when it's cool out, then this isn't really a complaint, but I had a Spring/Summer/Fall shirt in mind when I purchased it.I think that's about it. The shirt is streamlined in that it fits the body good, and it doesn't really have a lot of stretch factor (like I said, I prefer function over fashion, so I tried to stretch mine a little for a more loose fit). Although it did stretch a little, but nothing like a T-Shirt might (nor should it...it's not a T-Shirt).All in all, it's a good shirt and I would happily order more in other colors if it weren't for the price. :/ Sorry about that.Afterthought: Looking back over the shirts, the prices are very different just in the short time when I purchased mine. I bought two for $28. Now, at the time of this writing, it appears only one is going for $29?? I don't really understand that at all, nor do I agree with it. But what can ya do.

This Izod Men's Heritage Polo is a great buy for the price. The shirt is comfortable and fits well. I am 5'9 and 150 Lbs and a Medium sized shirt fit just right, not too long and not too short (Which is usually my main concern). I personally like a more tighter fitting Polo shirt and did my best to shrink it manually and it did a bit, just to where I like it, but it did not shrink a whole or even half a shirt size as most people are afraid of. I will buy this shirt again in different styles once I wear this one out!

Good quality polo with a nice soft feel. I haven't washed it yet so I can't say about the color fastness. Others have commented about the fit being too small but my experience was opposite. I ordered small and found it to be less fitted than I like but not enough that I'd return it. I've ordered another in extra small although there is no listing what those measurements are exactly. FYI I am 5' 9", 153 lbs., 38" chest, 30" waist. I have other Izod polos that fit better so they do seem to have a few issues with consistency.

This shirt’s fit is perfect. The colour is nice! This was on sale and I’ll be keeping my eye out for another deal.

Nicely constructed basic white Polo shirt with a reasonably tight weave and good stitching. Nothing extraordinary here, just a reliable basic piece of garment at a reasonable price. Quite happy with it.

Bought this shirt for my husband. Its a good fit. true to size. material is comfortable.
