I was excited to read this book. The photos shown in the book sample on this page were what sold it to me. Glamorous, quirky and interesting photos. Unfortunately the photos I saw in the sample were the only good ones in the entire book. The rest of the photos follow more of an "eccentric rich people who don't care about clutter" aesthetic, which was not what I was looking for at all. There is nothing inspirational in this book, aside from two or three photos I'd already seen on Amazon. Very disappointing.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend who loved it. I bought it after hearing an interview with the author on BBC radio London. There are some really nice interiors in the book. In the age of sustainability this book has some great ideas on ways to restore old furniture and objects with little tlc and imagination.

Great book, really nicely put together, nothing particularly new but well worth a look, writing a bit repetitive but still worth buying, great book, would make a lovely gift

I love Pearl Lowe's style and have seen her house in one of the home magazines so I knew if the rest of the houses were in a similar vein I would love it and I highly recommend this, lots of gorgeous pictures

I bought this as a Christmas present for my mum. I think she’ll really enjoy it as she loves anything to do with interior design, delivery was first class

What a wonderful book! It's just filled with stunning pictures that inspire me to arrange things in my own home in a way that is more creative and not to shy away from tactile materials, which add to the softness, literally, of my surroundings.
