A Must Have Book If You Are New To Windows 7!
This book I purchased at a local book store near my home 2 years ago and really learned so much from this book. This very well written and highly color illustrated book Easy Microsoft Windows 7 is THE book that I recommend to you if you are new to Microsoft Windows 7.For me, I have found this book to be the best and easiest to use book on Windows 7 will share with you the reasons:1) There are 17 chapters in this book and each chapter is a mini lesson and can be completed in a very short time.2) Each chapter (lesson) has fully illustrated pictures that SHOW YOU how to complete tasks and this book is written in a STEP BY STEP manner that is so easy to follow.3) Chapter One is my favorite chapter because it gives an overview of what is NEW in Windows 7 and it shows full pictures of menus and you will see just what to expect on the page. This chapter covers how to use a mouse and Windows essentials and more...4) This superb book covers the very basics to intermediate so you can get up and running fast! Everything is covered in a STEP BY STEP type of instruction with pictures to SHOW you how to do each lesson.5) This book has very large illustrations (color pictures) on EVERY PAGE which makes following the lessons so much easier.Highly recommend this book to all!

Easy Win 7
Easy Windows 7 is a useful book for both beginners and experienced PC users. It's often difficult to find a Win 7 capability using Windows Help function. With Easy Windows 7 you can scan through topics and get a general idea of what you are looking for and how to use it. While it doesn't cover topics in depth, it at least gets you started in the right direction. For example I didn't know Windows 7 included "Defender" software until I paged through the book. Windows 7 is function rich and Easy Windows 7 is a good road map. I recomend it.

Easy Windows 7 by Mark Edward Soper
Easy Windows 7 by Mark Edward Soper is an excellent book for not only new users of Win 7 but also for those who have been using Win 7 for some time.It is written without all the geeky terminology and allows one to follow instructions on their own computer as they read.Great Book!

Windows 7
Nicely written! This is my second rating of one of Mark Edward Soper's books. Again, this book is intended for one who is well-versed in use of Windows XP. Mr. Soper touches on the new features of Windows 7. So if you are familiar with XP you will have no problem using Windows 7. Mr Soper shows you how to do things with the aid of pictures.

Wonderful Aid
This book has been a god send in the things you rarely use, but need some guidance in not only just finding it but how to do it too. My Mom is not the best on the computer, but she has learned quite a few things from this book that are hard to walk her through over the phone. I bought it for my boyfriend and myself to use too!

Easy Microsoft Wndows 7
Easy to read, follow and understand. Indexed well so that it is simple to look up subjects for troubleshooting. I used it in a Windows 7 class in which I recently participated.

Basic 7
This book is very basic and covers items in Windows 7 very well, but it is not for a knowledgable computer professional as it does not cover any subject in depth and leaves a lot of questions unanswered for a computer professional to ponder. It is a very good computer beginner book of the Windows 7 operating system at the entry level.

the book didn't offer information useful to me
the book didn't offer information useful to me. Each time I try to research information I find that the book does not include helpful information on the problem. Sorry I wasted money on the book

Disappointing
Already had this version of the series for windows XP which was very helpful. This edition seems all about files. More then half the book seems dedicated to them. Perhaps it's me but does an absolute beginner need all this stuff? Hardly any mention of using email. Bought as a gift for someone but having perused it myself i now realise they won't find it helpful at all. Just wish i had looked at it in a 'real' shop first. You really can't tell a book by the title. It's probably ok if you are a file obsessive or budding accountant but for anything else look elsewhere.Or maybe this is just how boring Windows 7 really is.I would not recommend this book.

Guide to using Windows 7
The book as its title implies is Easy to use and gets you quickly started with the basics of Windows 7. Very well illustrated and takes you through the process visually step by step. No previous expertise is needed you simply copy what is shown visually in the guided steps on the page. I would recommend the book to anyone who wants to get quickly familiar with Windows 7.

Easy Windows 7
Just what it says on the tin. Had Windows XP before so was not starting from scratch but still found the differences confusing. This just fills in the gaps and is not 'too much information'for an amateur! Having pictures of the windows making it possible to go step by step is very helpful. The photos section is particularly useful as I do a lot of photography.

Easy Micosoft Windows 7
This was very useful and clear which made it easy to follow and put into practice when using my computer . Without clear instructions on doing something on my computer I do not want to try anything without knowledge in case I muck up what is on my computer already and have to get an engineer in to put things right again at high cost
