Appears to be a quality product!
I've waited for years for the price of foam mattresses to come down, as there's no way I'd ever pay $600 - $1.500 for a mattress. A friend told me that he had just ordered one from Amazon for about $200, so I started looking around. I spent a couple of hours reading all the reviews, both good and bad, and normally, if an item has high numbers in sales, and the reviews are good, that's what I go with. But sometimes items haven't been on line very long so their sales numbers are lower. But if you have lower numbers and excellent reviews, I look at these very closely, which is why I bought this mattress. First: I'm a hot sleeper, and the number one thing most people complain about is the heat generated from foam mattresses. I'd rather sleep on straw than sleep on a hot mattress of any kind. So the Dreamfoam Bedding Chill 12" Gel Memory Foam Mattress looked very promising, especially at that price point. I took delivery yesterday, and while I've only had one night to sleep on it, there was no heat and I slept great. The pressure points that I experienced with my old mattress are gone. These pressure points (due to past injuries) have been very uncomfortable for years, but now they've disappeared. I'm giving a glowing report after only one night's sleep, and ASSUMING that the mattress holds up, I'd say you cant beat this mattress... period. Will it hold up, for only $199? We'll see. I will give another review in about a year.

I’d recommend this one.
I slept on a waterbed for close to 40 years until our kitten destroyed our mattress. We decided to go with a foam mattress so the flooding couldn’t reoccur. I read tons of reviews on dozens of mattresses costing anything from $200 to over a grand. Every single mattress had exactly the same pattern; lots of five star ratings saying best mattress ever, several in the four-three-two ratings and a handful of one stars warning that this would be the worst decision of your life should you purchase it, causing everything from teeth rot to hair loss if the odor didn’t kill you first. With all that information I just decided this looked like a reasonably good mattress at a good price. One of the complaints I had read was that it was too soft. That sounded good to me as hard mattresses just don’t work for me after all those waterbed years. So here’s the review. It came a couple of days before it was scheduled, fully expanded in the 24 hours that was recommended, had a very slight odor that dissipated within 48 hours (my wife was able to sleep on it with no problem and she’s very susceptible to chemical smells, perfumes, etc.). As far as comfort, I’m doing okay but the body still hasn’t forgot what a waterbed felt like. My wife would give it five stars. All in all we’re very satisfied with it and would recommend it.

Valencia 6" vs. Lucid 6"
We needed 2 twin xl mattresses and had a height limitation to work with. I decided to purchase two different mattresses to try out since the prices were the same when I was purchasing. One was the Valencia 6" Gel Memory Foam mattress (Link: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B019EMSN9Y) which had fewer reviews but a higher overall rating. The other was the Lucid 6" Memory Foam mattress (Link: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B008S5B25G) which had a lot more reviews but less stars. Both came rolled & compressed in boxes that were easy to manage. Both were not difficult to get out of the box & unroll. Both had a slight smell upon opening, but nothing too offensive (even to a pregnant nose).Comparisons:-Decompression - the Valencia reached 6" almost immediately and was slightly over that after 30 mins; the Lucid was slower to rise, but was at full 6" height by 30 mins.-Firmness - the Lucid is much more firm; the Valencia would be more likely to compress under weight.-Covers - both have removable covers. The Valencia's felt softer, but the Lucid's would be easier to remove, I think, due to the placement of the zipper.-Size - the Valencia is slightly taller than 6", but it also seems to be a little less wide and long than the Lucid. The Valencia doesn't seem to cover the box springs quite as well as the Lucid, but not so much that it is an issue.Final assessment: I put the Valencia on my toddler's bed since he is light and the Lucid may be a bit hard for him. The Lucid is on the extra bed, and I believe will be much better at supporting the weight of an adult. So if you want a mattress that is very soft or would be easier to roll-up again - choose the Valencia. If you want a mattress with firm support, go Lucid. Either way, they are generally very similar, and I am happy with keeping both.

I am very pleased with this mattress
I am very pleased with this mattress. I've been wanting a memory foam mattress for years but could never afford one. I did a lot of investigating before I decided to buy this. I wanted something made here in the US and I needed something affordable because I'm a single lady on a limited budget. I'm also in my 50's and I have hip and back problems from time to time. I wish I could say I got in on the reduced price for an honest review, but I didn't so ...yes, you're getting a very honest review. I can't say ANYTHING bad about this mattress. It's exactly what I wanted...comfortable, affordable, easy to handle. It's not a firm mattress but it's not soft either...just right in my opinion. I feel like a rich person in my luxurious bed and I'm actually a poor ole hard workin country gal. So I just want to say to all you poor hard workin people like me who are afraid to spend the money and then maybe not like this mattress....I don't think you'll be disappointed. I know there may be some who won't like it because there is with any product...but I can't honestly find anything wrong with it. I have it on top of my old mattress and box spring because I don't really know what to do. I get the impression you shouldn't put it on a boxspring and I don't want my bed to be too low so I just put it on top of everything...if I should do something else...please let me know Dreamfoam. My brother wants to buy 2 of these to put on his guest beds and I hope this review helps someone in trying to make up their mind. I know it's hard when you don't have much money but you really need something...and I love knowing I'm helping people here in the US survive and keep their job. Thank you!
