B is for Big Sky Country: A Montana Alphabet (Discover America State by State)

We bought this for our infant son for a Christmas present, but of course I read it first.And I cried.It made me so proud of my home state. So many facts I didn't know, beautifully written in poetic rhyme. Places that have been lost to time, peoples important to our heritage, and wildlife alive & abundant. This book really gives a short overview of things that are not always at the forefront when thinking about Montana.Not only is it an ingenious way to teach the ABC's, but a clever way to teach your youngster (and yourself) a bit of Montana knowledge.We inscribed it to our son "Always be proud of where you're from, because there is no place like Montana. Let your heart grow as big as our Big Sky."I think that sums up this lovely piece of literature.

I bought this as a gift for my brother in law. A native Montanen. He can read it to his little girl. It was very cute, I like the two levels of reading. The simple part for younger folks and more in depth for us grown ups and older kids. I plan on buying the Oregon version for my kids for xmas.

I was impressed at how much information there was in this book. There is a lot that my husband and I learned from it. I like that it focuses on all different areas of the state. If you love Montana, you will like this book.

I am a Montana native and love everything about my home state. This is one of my favorite ABC/picture books. I bought it for someone whose acquaintance I made on an out of state trip. It was much appreciated and treasured by the recipient.

We love this series of books. We used B is for Big Sky Country for our Montana state study and found many interesting facts about Montana. .

All these books are great and give a historical perspective along with the letter.

We got our first book as a gift and have purchased 5 more because of it. Very education for both kids and parents!
