Middle School: Save Rafe! (Middle School, 6)
R**!
Another great Middle School story.
I read this with my son, Max. We always enjoy the Middle School books. Max loves books set in a school environment.Rafe Khatchadorian is back. The Arts school he was attending is closing and guess what... he will have to go back to Hills Village Middle School. Yep, the place where these stories started and the place Rafe was happy to be expelled from. But, Mrs. Ida P. Stricker is now the principal and the new vice-principal is her sister Charlotte P. Stonecase. Needless to say, neither of them are happy with the idea of Rafe returning to their school. So, they have a condition... Rafe must attend and successfully complete a week in The Program. When Rafe looks at the brochure, he realizes this is no fun week at camp. In fact, the brochure says in boldface letters, "The hardest week of your life is about to begin."My opinion:I enjoyed this book. I always like reading with my son. :)Recommended to:This book is great for kids in grades 3 - 8; I think any kids who enjoy realistic fiction or humorous stories will enjoy it. Patterson's writing is easy to read and there are plenty of pictures throughout the book which are very funny.Similar Books:The rest of the Middle School series by James PattersonThe I Funny series also by James Patterson

Adventurous
This book is full of adventurous miss haps in the ever stressful life of Rafe Khatchadorian. From climbing tire mountains, being surrounded by juvenile delinquents, to being bullied by someone crushing on him. Life for Rafe is never boring. This story is about a summer Rafe will never forget.

Middle School: Save Rafe!
I liked this book by James Patterson. I generally like books for teens/young adults by James Patterson; he is a brilliant author, however I am a pretty fast reader and I finished this in just over an hour, so if you are looking for something that you can read on a road trip or something without having to switch to another book and you are a fast reader, I wouldn't recommend it. On the other hand, if you are looking for something you can just pick up and simply read for pleasure and lots of laughs, then you've come to the right book! Hope you find this review helpful!- Cougar

I love this book it is amazing just like all the other books in the series. I have been hooked on books like this for a while now. Rage, is such an amazing character and his adventures are amazing as well. I would recommend this book to anyone, because it doesn't matter how old you are if you want to read an amazing book.

Funny, sometimes poignant book -- a fun read and a good message
I bought this for my son, who's 13 years old and in the 7th grade. He just loved it. He is a _Diary of a Wimpy Kid_ fan and said this book reminds him of the Wimpy Kid books. Rafe is a middle schooler who faces challenges in school and at home with candor and humor. The book has vivid characters and sends a positive message.

Rafe is up the creek without a...
What do you get when you cross an author, a boatload of creativity, and productivity as a superpower? You get James Patterson - arguably one of the the most prolific authors in history. If you haven't already discovered the Middle School series, Rafe Katchadorian is a middle school struggler who has a hard time juggling his creative outlet with his difficulty for authority. The series is perfect for bedtime reading, and is in a very similar style as the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, but with more (dare I say) realistic problems. Rafe's parents are divorced, and he constantly faces the consequences of his actions in the principals office. In this book, Rafe braves a boot camp aimed at turning around problem students. If this is your first Middle School exposure, I recommend reading them in order, because they do tend to build on each other, although Patterson does a good job at providing the back story highlights in case you haven't. Cole's Notes summary: without giving any spoilers, Save Rafe was funny, entertaining, and well worth the read, although the ending did felt a little anti-climatic. As always, Patterson wrote a great book.
