Excellent: solid, sharp, easy to use
Excellent folding saw - was careful to follow 'pull' instructions & it cuts smaller branches / logs / sticks I have used it on so far very quickly & with ease. Pricey, but feels like it will last & overall a very good item.

Best saw hands down.
Made short work of very thick brancjes in my garden. Despite the long delivery time it was worth it. Who needs a chainsaw if you have a silky? Cuts through everything with ease, perfect size for one handed sawing, performs like a chainsaw for smaller trees. 100% will be the best investment in a saw you can buy. Totally worth the wait and cost.

Fabulous Performance!
Wow this hand saw is awesome! I had a cheap hand saw that I loved, but the handle broke, so I decided to bite the bullet and splurge on this one. After hours of research, the Silky looked to be the best quality and comfort for my small lady hands. I chopped down a 20ft, thick limbed, shrub yesterday, and after two full car loads of logs, I think I can safely saw this saw performs beautifully. The rubberised grip is very comfortable. My hand did not slip up over the locking mechanism once, and I found the ability to change the blade angle for underhand sawing very useful. It sawed through 6" thick stumps with ease, and left a very smooth finish on the wood. It doesn't stick or jam, and being a one-way saw, it takes very little effort. It is expensive, but I cannot believe how much faster and easier it is to use, compared to my old faithful cheepy one. I highly recommend this saw, especially for lady gardeners. :)

Very sharp and convenient pocket saw
Very sharp and easy to keep about ones person when scrub bashing etc. It is a little to easy to slip between the two blade positions by hold ones thumb close to the hinge. An excellent tool but not cheap

Amazing quality, replacement blades readily available cuts through things like butter.
Replacement blades are readily available, I almost bought another brand based on a review in a gardening magazine but googling for blades brought up barely any results and most out of stock. It cuts like butter, rarely need to put much effort into it, the handle is comfortable and blade folds down neatly, sometimes find it difficult to find the 'sweet spot' where the 'folding action' isn't too tight or too loose, but this really doesn't detract from the amazing quality this saw is. Nice addition of the plastic 'pouch' keeps it dry and safe. My favourite purchase to date in my gardening tool kit.

Sharp and clean cut
If you want a saw which cuts through woody plants in a trice the silky breed of saws are excellent. Good value for money and well made. Nicely weighted and feels comfortable in the hand. The blade locks in two positions for ease of working in congested plants and locks open. It does not lock shut but I can't see that it's necessary since the blade isn't going anywhere once it's pushed back into the handle on closing. Comes with a plastic case which is fine but being plastic it can crack ...I've found it fits in the felco leather holster nicely. I'm hooked and now looking at the larger bow saws in the range!!!

Utterly brilliant
This is the most amazing knife. It cuts precisely and easily with absolute precision. I used it to cut up a 10" trunk tree yesterday with surprising ease.

Amazed
It's such a pleasure to use knives that are truly sharp and this is one of them. Makes gardening work so much fun and satisfying! This works great too for ladies with smaller hands. Be super mindful when using - they are really sharp! If they make kitchen knives too, would not hesitate to buy them!

Superb ally for fire prep while camping/backpacking
Superb, lightweight, reliable, fast folding saw. I purchased this specifically for backpacking/camping fire-making/emergency shelter making. It does a very fast and clean job on dried wood up to about 3.5" in diameter. The blade does have flex to it, so larger/heavier branches/wood pieces need to be kept from biting/clamping down on the blade after the pass through or it can stop the blade cold. When cutting down a seasoned sapling into smaller 16" or so segments, I had to let the weight of the long end teeter-totter over a fallen tree. That way as I cut and put pressure on the short end, the weakness in the cut line would force the wood apart instead of together. It cuts fast (if the wood diameter is half the blade length or smaller) and cleanly. It only cuts on the pull, but it's not noticeable when working IMO. I'll take this with me from now on unless I'm on a very extended backpacking trip where every oz. counts. Pros: - Great construction - Nice handle - Excellent locking mechanism and hinge - Dual-position locking point for regular/down-swept and up-swept positions - Fast, clean cutter on seasoned wood of size - Nice case Cons - Not as fast on green wood, but different toothed blade would help here - Flex in the blade and a narrow cut makes blade stoppage a problem in some scenarios Overall an excellent small folding saw for it's designed target wood size. I'll likely be getting a larger version for use around the house or "luxury" camping where larger dried wood might be available. Highly recommended!

All the hype is well earned.
For years, I was happy with the Bahco Laplander. Saw no reason to pick one of these up. I'd heard about the blades snapping & figured it wouldn't be worth the trouble. I finally caved & bought one, recently. The Bahco was gifted to my nephew & I won't go back. This saw has 10TPI & works well for an allaround solution. I've used it on green & hard wood with great success. I've even used this on 5-6" diameter wood, over my bow saw. It's just that convenient. I cannot speak highly enough, about this saw. If you're on the fence, trust me, it's worth every penny.
