Much bigger than expected and heavy. It's great as a gag gift, but not sure it's actually useable if trying to keep pants up.

I am a member of the Hash House Harriers and have often needed a place to rest my beer during our social gatherings when no table or stool is available. It does garner interest and a few laughs. But the buckle itself is practical on its own, and the shelf can be useful when you need a free hand (I would not walk around with it deployed).The biggest negative is my own fault. I have a bit of a belly so the buckle tends to tip forward a little when I set my beer in it (again, I do use it when needed but don't walk around with it open). So if you have a big gut, it might be less practical.The only other negative is that the retaining wire just barely holds a standard can/bottle. Anything slightly larger or having a unique shape will not fit.Overall I am glad with my purchase.

The thing is huge and heavy. I like it. It seems pretty solid and only opens when you want it to.My only criticism is that it just came in a plain, unmarked white box (that had gotten semi-crushed in the padded Amazon envelope) without any written materials. It's pretty self-explanatory how to use, but not having any instructions, flyers, or markings in or on the box identifying the manufacturer or company webpage just seems like a lost marketing opportunity by the company.

This is a crowd pleaser when opened up at a birthday party! It’s stylish and functional. Our friend thought it was just a great western belt buckle. But when we showed them the feature, we got the “wow!” This is a great gift and or party favor. Everyone wants one.

The buckle is big and bold, and generally sturdy except to the extent that the hinge, springs, and bottle retainer seem flimsy, but we'll see. I routinely update reviews as user experience continues.

It truly is made to hold a beverage and has reinforced backing to do so. It is large in size, but it is a belt buckle, so not too large. I use mine as just a belt buckle. Probably won't ever use it for the beverage holder. I did test it though to see if it would work and it does.

I bought this for my husband, sort of as a gag gift for our wedding anniversary, he loved it!! I'm not sure how much he will wear it, as he's not a belt buckle kinda guy. but he knows all of the guys will love it and find it a great find when he does wear it. GREAT quality.

I ordered a BevBuckle from Amazon and the same one direct from BevBuckle. The BevBuckle from Amazon is a fake, not even close to the real one. Fell apart, looks like plastic and smaller. They used pictures and description from BevBuckle website. Absolutely love the real buckle I ordered direct from BevBuckle.
