Modelling Survival Data in Medical Research, Second Edition 2nd Edition

I highly recommend this book to those interested in applications of lifetime data. It is probably the best non-technical introduction to survival analysis available. The book provides a good survey of topics and model diagnostics for survival analysis with just enough technical detail. This book is especially useful for model diagnostics. I know of no other book that approaches the quality of this book with respect to model diagnostics for survival models.

The book is good, only I cannot understand survival analysis totally...Or it is because the teacher made it so theoretial that I cannot understand.

Very informative!

Very clear, provides math behind the models, but no to detailed, provides concrete examples with nterpretation. Has programming code and how to interpret the code.

Absolutely brilliant book for anyone study, researching or interested in this areaProf David Collett is an expert in the field and describes even the most complicated statistical theory with amazing clarity. The range of practical worked examples also well demostrate the theoryI refer to this book as 'the bible' and I have lost count of how many times I have referenced it in my PhD thesisThe only reason my rating in 4 stars rather than 5 is to do with the condition in which the book arrived. The packing was far too thin and flimsy so the impact of the package falling through the letter box damaged the back cover.The content of the book is definitely 5 out of 5
