Dual Digital Wireless Headset System

My wife loves these TV ears. I now can keep the volume where I listen and she puts her ears on and turns the volume up to where she wants it.

My husband can hear the TV with these. He had an issue with the volume on one of them. But a phone call to the company solved the problem by sending a new one.

I love this product. I have really bad hearing and I’m constantly asking my wife “what did they say” when watching TV even though I had hearing aids in. No more, this product is amazing. I can hear everything crystal clear as there are no outside noises. I highly recommend these ears for TV if you are hard hearing.

One of the headsets did not charge and did not work right out of the box. Company sent me a new one without hassle. In fact, the company was quite eager to send a new one and there was no request to return the old one, so I had a sense this is not an unconmmon happening. I had initial concerns about the quality of the product and worry how long it will last, but it really does work fine when new with good sound quality , and is comfortable. As long as you are facing the transmitter you can move your head around and change sitting positions without interrupting the sound---an improvement from another devices we had been using. Only slight drawback is that the volume is a little too loud for my wife even turned down to lowest point. I also learned it is a waste of money to buy the digital version if you are going to plug it into the cable box because it will work only with the RCA analog connection. They don't tell you this on the Amazon page.

I purchased a refurbished tv ears, the one didn't charge at all the otherone after 14 hours of charging there was only a busing sound, no warranty card or directions. So to make a long story short "DON'T BUY A REFURBISHED PRODUCT"

My 89 year old wife is almost deaf (even with expensive hearing aids) and she is almost blind due to macular degeneration. Also she can barely walk even when using a walker. She spends many hours a day sitting in front of the TV with her TV Ears listening to old movies and programs with her eyes closed. She tells me she doesn't have to see the TV because she has seen the shows before and can picture the scenes in her mind. She has been using TV Ears for about twenty years and can hear the programs very clearly. I wish I could connect them to the radio.

My husband has a severe hearing problem & watching TV with him was unbearable for me. He needed the volume up as high as it would go & needless to say I couldn’t be in the same room with him . I reluctantly bought these bc they were a bit expensive but they are worth every penny ! He is now able to watch tv & hear every word & I can join him without busting my eardrums. They work independent from the tv volume so I can lower the tv volume without affecting his volume through his headset ! This has been the best purchase I have ever made ! If you are living with one who is hearing impaired I highly reccomend you give these a try !

I gave the 3-star rating based on two things. First, the product description really should have a list of compatible TVs. Second, it would be nice if somewhere in the documentation it mentioned there must be an unobstructed line-of-sight between the base and the headset. A family member walking in front of the base unit will cause interference with the sound reception in the headset. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product, but I initially thought I was going to have to return it. After making all connections and charging for the recommended time, I tried to use the headset with the TV. I have a Sanyo 39" DP39843, about 8 years old. The base red light was lit, indicating it was connected to the TV, but all I could get was a fluttering sound through the headset. I called TV Ears customer service and Michelle was very helpful. We went through a number of troubleshooting steps and she apologetically told me she believed it was not compatible with my TV, and she suggested I call Sanyo customer service. After finishing with TV Ears customer service, I decided to do a little experimenting. I found that when the TV was set to receive over-the-air, the TV Ears would not work. I just got a fluttering sound in the headset. However, when my TV input was taken from the HDMI on the DirecTV box, the TV Ears worked exceptionally well. The reason, I believe, has to do with the Dolby audio. The over-the-air audio on my TV does not have native Dolby capability. If you a somewhat older TV and plan to purchase TV Ears, it would be beneficial to do a little research, maybe contact TV Ears customer service in advance, and make sure it will work with your TV.

Changed from analogue to digital to match new Tv, excellent item.
