Simple, All-in-One Fix That Makes Toilet Repairs Easy
I recently used the Danco Complete Toilet Repair Kit (80816), and overall, it made fixing my toilet much easier than I expected. Instead of buying each part separately, this kit includes everything in one box, fill valve, flapper, rod, and float, so it saves time and removes the guesswork. Installation was straightforward, even for someone with basic DIY experience. The instructions were clear enough, and with a few common tools, I was able to replace all the old worn-out parts without needing a plumber. After installing it, my toilet stopped running constantly, and the water flow became much more consistent. What I really like is that it helps solve multiple issues at once. If your toilet is leaking, running, or not filling properly, this kit gives you a fresh start with all new internal components. It’s also designed to fit most standard toilets, which makes it convenient for home use. The build feels decent for everyday use, and once installed, everything worked smoothly without extra adjustments. It’s a practical solution for quick toilet repairs and helps avoid wasting water. Overall, this is a very useful repair kit for basic home maintenance. It’s not complicated, it gets the job done, and it’s a good option for anyone who wants a simple DIY fix instead of calling a plumber.

Right size
Fit perfect. It was my first time doing it myself and I had no problems.

Old style but style effective
Easy to install and works properly. I know this is the old version but I wanted to replace with same kind.

Fill valve works fine, if a bit finicky. Flapper leaks and won't work with high flow toilets
I have purchased two of these kits. The valve and float work well enough. The valve was a bit finicky when adjusting, and one of the two has a tendency for the adjustment screw to back out over time. However, with several months on both valves, they've proved serviceable. The flappers are a different story. I have high flow toilets that are about 20 years old. This flapper didn't seat well (leaving a slow flow into the bowl) and closed prematurely. It might work fine on newer toilets, but I had to buy a different flapper to rectify the issue.

Doesn't do the job and you will not like it
Edit: Changing my review to 1 star. The fill valve continues to release water. Doesn't stop even when the water is set to stop below the fill valve dome. It has started to fill really slowly now and the wall valve is wide open. Don't buy this product unless you like wasting money. This fill valve is too short and you can't adjust it to make it longer. It does seal well to the tank however. I installed it in a few minutes. Really easy to replace, but because it is too short, the overflow hose is crinked because it has to go up then down into the overflow tube. For me, it'll work for now to fix the water hammer sound from the old fill valve. Idk if a crinked overflow hose is a problem for it or not. I did notice that if I let the water fill above the dome of the fill valve, the water will continue to fill the tank, which is why the water level is at the top of the overflow tube in the picture. I just figured that out a few mins ago because I heard water running. In other words, because it's too short, I'm not able to have the same amount of water in my tank as I had before. This could cause issues flushing everything down the drain or maybe I'll save a few gallons if water over the year. Time will tell. I may have to go pick out a taller fill valve.

Great deal!!!
Love this old school toilet repair kit. It was super easy to install, efficient, no leaks, fill the tank faster than the universal kit from home depot.

Perfect fit and easy install
This repair kit was a perfect replacement for my mid 90's Universal/Rundle 6.0 lpf/1.6 gpf toilet. All necessary parts were included and it functioned well with no adjustment. I consider it an easy install and recommend. I replaced the fill valve , rod and float but not the flapper as it was the rod that rusted out.

It works but not perfect
I wanted a direct replacement for our almost 30yr old toilet. Installation was fairly simple. Making the fine adjustments took the most time. The refill valve is a couple inches shorter than the original but dont think it affects the performance. Some ppl have complained about fitting but it fit our tank perfectly. Only real issue is the flapper. Even though it does seal ok it doesnt stay afloat long enough to allow the water to drain (closes almost immediately after flushing). A float attachment wouldve helped. So now ill have to get a better flapper or cut the ring that goes around the overflow tube which may or may not fix the issue. Other than that its a decent kit to help get your toilet working properly.

Replacement of toilet tank fill valve
I needed to replace a full valve on my Mancese toilet. Lots of options at hardware stores but not sure if they’d fit. I took a chance on the Danco all purpose one and I ordered it from Amazon and Gad it delivered in a few days. Works fine. I needed to bent the float rod to fit in my tank but after that I was able to regulate the intake so it didn’t overflow and keep running -good deal!

Fits most toilets???
Uh, no. Although the package stated it fits most toilets, it didn't. I have a very standard Crane toilet. The stem holding the float was too long and I had to saw it at both end. The tube holding the intake valve is too short and ends up being flooded (still works but will corrode faster), the outtake flap is the wrong format and I had to keep the old one. In the end I was able to make it work but it required a lot of tweaking and fiddling. I could have returned it but, duh, I urgently needed to make my toilet work! On the positive side though I must admit that, once installed properly, it is very quiet.

Too $hort for a normal toilet
It has to be some sort of water saver unit and it does not say Anything about that when you buy it. It’s about 3 inches shorter than It should be. Just junk.
