The Final Battle Begins
In vol. 10 of the second season of the manga, things are heating up and heading for a final confrontation. And in so doing, some familiar *shonen* tropes are surfacing, for better or for worse, depending on one's own preference. As the book begins, a month has passed since the kidnapping of Moka Akashiya by her sisters and step-mother. They desire to use Moka to unseal, and then control the ancient monster Alucard. Alucard, presumably the original Dracula, has been alive for centuries, and long since morphed into an unbelievably powerful, and simply *GIANT* being that bears more of a resemblance to an Eldritch Abomination than a vampire. After having spent a month training, Tsukune and company have infiltrated the main Fairy Tale headquarters with the intention of rescuing their friend, and hopefully thwarting the terrorist and monster supremacist group once and for all. This is where the *shonen* tropes come up, because to make it to the area where Alucard and Moka are, the heroes have to defeat all manner of incredibly powerful baddies. Indeed, as opposed to the rank and file of Fairy Tale, who are little more than cannon fodder, these bosses of the group are truly powerful. Powerful enough where they could end up killing the good guys. So, of course, there are fights. And the fights (if the first one is any indication at all) are going to be a tad long-winded with back and forth descriptions of powers, tactics, dramatic turns, so on, that make this more like *Yu Yu Hakusho* than *Rosario* has been so far. That is what I meant by "for better or for worse". Depending on the tastes of the reader, this will either be awesome or annoying. Me? I think I'm somewhere in the middle of things. I found the clever use of powers cool, but the length of the fights so far was aggravating. A tad less time on each fight would be good, thank you. That said, this was one of the better volumes for the simple matter that the heroes were actually proactive instead of being damsels and dudes in distress the whole time, or just waiting to be attacked. Tsukune, Ruby, and Yukari especially, who don't always have much badass presence (especially the latter two) did some cool stuff that shows they got power-ups as well. Tsukune finally is coming into his own as a competent fighter and warrior. This is going to be a long ending of this final battle and series. four more volumes. I can't wait to see what's in store.Highly Recommended.Rating: 4/5 Stars.

To end the Tale
The training is done, the cast is set, now is the time to put the plan into action. Tskune and his mighty harem of lovely ladies (plus Fengling) is ready to take on the forces of Fairy Tale, rescue Moka, and bring their dream of human/monster co-exisitance to reality. At Fairy Tale HQ, Aqua shows Moka the reason she was brought there as they stand before the sleeping form of Alucard and tells her where her mother is. But as you know plans do not follow their normal course when the leader of Fariy Tale, who is a very powerful vampire herself (along with a secret that I cannot divulge) discovers the group and tries to stop them from reaching Moka and stopping her plan of destroying the human race. Its the leaders of the Fairy tale branch offices vs Yokai Academy's most powerful group of students in no hold barred fights to the finish as Ruby faces a Thunder Beast (which she enjoyed far too much), and FengLing faces his family's rival group in the form of a cute psycho chainsaw wielder and her sister with Yukari at his side. The stage is set to see which side will win. I do not know what will happen when we get to the end of this rollercoaster but the bodies are going to pile up and blood will be spilled. Who will survive to see the fruition of their dreams.

DON'T LET THE ANIME FOOL YOU!!!
This is a great story that includes a lot of the monsters that we all know and love in a high school setting. It is cute, funny, action packed and sexy but I implore anyone who has seen the anime and hated it DON'T JUDGE THIS MANGA BY THE ANIME!!! The story is stronger, the dialogue is better and the characters are far less annoying! The manga does not insult your intelligence but still provides an array of fan service to the benefit of the story instead of at the expense of it. Everything from epic beat downs, dramatic transformations, to steamy situations without the ridiculous over abundance of panty shots and idiotic banter. But that is not to imply that there aren't ANY panty shots.Story wise it is very well written and will always leave you wanting more. One of the most likable things about the manga is the consistent character development between each other and independently. It is one of my favorite manga and I can't wait for the volumes to come.

There's no turning back once you enter!
may have a few spoilers!Once tsukune comes to his senses ( with the help of kurumu's determination) him and company make their arrival to fairy tale headquarters. The group get inside but it looks like they should have left when they had the chance! It turns out the leader of this organization has something interesting you will learn-just know that there is no fun and games. Tsukune is quick to display some of his new power to get past a few minions but a certain character is who'll be doing the first "actual battle" against the other branch office leaders. If you haven't read this volume yet you need to because things start to get very explosive!

My favorite manga!!!
This volume was not my favorite of the series, the fight between ruby and the member of fairy tale seemed to last forever. But nevertheless it is necessary to setup a good storyline. I wish there would have been more of the tsukune and kurumu aftermath from the last volume. Looking forward to the next volume to see what happens next.

The rescue begins
A month after Moka was kidnapped by the monster supremacist group Fairy Tale, Tsukune and his friends get a chance to show how hard they have trained as the mission to rescue Moka begins in earnest. Infiltrating Fairy Tale's flying fortress base, the Hanging Gardens, Tsukune and the others have to fight their way to Moka before her seal is released and Alucard wakes. Standing in their way are traps, soldiers and the mightiest members of Fairy Tale, the Sub-Division Leaders and her head of the organization itself. This tenth volume of the 'Rosario+Vampire Season II' manga is a very nice instalment of the series with some great action as well as retaining some nice humour as well. The artwork of the series remains very good and it is interesting to look back on the early volumes of the original series to see how much the art has changed and improved over the years. The plot of the series remains good and this volume gives us a look at Fairy Tale as their elite fighters begin to join the fight and the leader of the organisation itself is revealed. The volume includes the usual afterword by the author, as well as a small number of 4-koma strips.Overall volume ten of 'Rosario+Vampire Season II' is extremely good and is well worth a full five stars.
