So much easier for my mom--hearing aid became a concern with regard to quality of sound, expense, etc. This allows Mom to hear the speaker phone better, and engage in general conversation. She has made the adjustment nicely. At almost 90, she has been easily able to lose her hearing aid. Hearing aid replacements are exorbitant. This was a surprisingly excellent alternative. Parents are very happy. The scoring system with stars is tough because my mother cannot communicate with regard to sound quality and comfort...but she has no complaints—she is able to hear us and respond. While it might seem to be a technological step backward, it actually is preferable with Mom's limitations with hearing well, esp. in the face of her declining health. Communication is SO important!! Very pleased!!

I bought these for my grandparent with hearing loss. It amplifies the sounds of our voices nicely. However, it also picks up a lot of background noise, which hurt their ears and caused them to jump multiple times. I tried it myself and the background noises are as loud or louder than voices, even if they are further away. Either plan to use is a very quite room or consider buying a different microphone.

my father has $8000 hearing aids but he seldom wear them, most of the time he does not want be regarded as disabled, besides, the sound via hearing aid is totally different, very serious distortion. so I got this hearing amplifier for him as an alternative and it just worked great, he can hear us well with great sound quality. and the device is more like a player no body knows my father is deaf when using in public.

My grandpa has been nearly deaf for years, he can hardly hear us unless we yell, it is unbelievable how much this hearing amplifier has help him with listening, he can hear us even we talk in low voice, neighbors don't knock on door any more when he is watching TV at night.

I have bought similar products before but all of them produce sound just like a transistor radio, but this irgoer just impressed me by it's sound quality, it makes very clear sound with high clarity. it also has an automatic gain control figure which automatically adjust amplification level base on loudness of sound or voice, this will surely protect my hearing from further damage by sudden loud noise.

I have a severe hearing loss and this amplifier is just not loud enough, but for the average person with minor hearing loss it would be a good choice.

The sound quality is very good and the volume control makes it easy to use.
