Blundstone's adult 500 slip-on boot is an everyday casual work shoe you'll get miles of wear in. Featuring 2.5-millimeter-thick weather-proof leather, a well-designed shock protection system that reduces shock by 33 percent, and a removable Cambrelle footbed that wicks moisture away, this work boot is designed as much for comfort as for dependability. It also includes an injection-molded dual density polyurethane outsole for a softer step. This high-quality ankle work boot also has flexible elastic panels and finger loops at the top of the shoe for easy slip-on and removal. Blundstone has been making sturdy and unique boots in Tasmania, Australia, since 1870. The family-owned company has maintained the quality, integrity and authenticity of their products for over 130 years. Blundstone boots are no-nonsense, go-anywhere, do

Getting Blundstone 500 Size Right
It took me 3 tries to get the right size Blundstone 500s, and I recommend doing some research before purchasing these boots. The size basics are these: The Australian whole size Blundstone is an American E width and a full size longer than an American size boot. The half size up is literally no longer or wider but is is "roomier" inside than the whole size under it. I wear a 10 E American boot, and the Australian size 9 Blundstones fit me well enough that I kept them. My feet simply swim in the 9 1/2., despite it is - literally - exactly the same length and width as the 9. As for quality, these boots are not like Limmers or Whites but they are well made by today's standards for mass produced boots. The leather is not at all soft, rather it has a firm hand, like a good work boot, and it takes a while to break them in. The insole is nothing special, and the heal counter is stiff. The mid-sole gives some support, not a lot. The sole is medium soft. Overall, the 500 offers more support than my Clark's Desert Boots and less than typical work boots I've opted for over the years. I would not use them for construction work involving extension ladders or shovels, but they are fine for uneven terrain and doing chores. I wear them daily as a construction superintendent. For this they are more comfortable than my Red Wing 952s, yet another American made boot that's not what it once was.

Great boots but don't purchase from 'Comfort Soles'
My partner has worn these as work boots for years., wearing them almost daily and replacing every 2-3 years. This last pair I purchased for him fit as usual, everything great, but on about the second or third day he was putting them on and the cloth pull tab on the heel ripped! He has always used that tab, like I said , daily for years, and that has never happened before. I have contacted Blundstone directly and am waiting to hear back. I also contacted the seller that I had purchased them from through Amazon, giving them all the information I just mentioned and including a photo. They replied that the issue was due to wear and tear and could not be replaced. I was livid! I could accept a no return/refund policy, but they out and out called me a liar and that I cannot accept. The company I purchased from was Comfort Soles--Amazon Marketplace. Don't do business with them. They have no respect for their customers.

Stout Brown is versatile. Half sizes provide width.
I was expecting the 500 to have a narrow fit. I used to own the 200 (discontinued) which was the wide model. But then I read somewhere that the AUS half sizes mean additional width so instead of getting a US10, I got the US10.5 and it fit perfectly for my US10E feet. The soles are slightly harder than the 550, which I was expecting, but nothing a good pair of gel insoles can't fix. But as-is, they feel fine so long as you don't expect them to feel like running shoes. Besides, I prefer the thinner-looking soles of the 500. But if you prefer it plush, get the 550 as these are leather-lined inside and have the softer soles. Also, it's the first time I decided to buy a "used" item (probably returned) but it was good as new and the tag was still attached to the shoes, so I saved 30%! Lastly, I was worried I wouldn't like the stout brown color, but I realized I could wear the boots as black or brown so it's pretty versatile. As for the issue about the soles cracking, I'll have to wait and see if this has been rectified. My 200 (purchased in Tasmania) lasted 6 years before the soles cracked and disintegrated. The uppers were perfectly fine and was even starting to look beautifully-worn! Unfortunately the soles cannot be mended in any way and the only option would be to re-sole the boots.

Best shoe ever
This is my first pair of blundstones. I purchased a half size larger so that I could wear slightly thicker socks. I cannot wear my thickest socks as I normally could sizing up, so they seem to be sized slightly smaller. I ordered an 8.5 US or 5.5 AU. I would probably order the same size again in the future, because it works well with thin socks as well and I can wear these boots in the winter or the summer. Super lightweight boot. I have really high arches/instep, so the first week my arch was uncomfortable but the boots broke in quickly. Though the arch support isn't the best, I actually have no pain or issues wearing them and just use the standard sole insert already provided. These boots are stiff at first, but tailor to your foot/soften after constant wear really fast. They are also so incredibly durable and do not scrape up easily - marks are easy to wipe off/clean. I have had these shoes for over 6 months and they still look new after wearing them almost every single day. I think they'll last a few years.

comfortable and cool, but not so long wearing
This was my review after a week: Excellent style and quality. I wear these to work, out to dinner, carpentry gigs, music performances. I will wear these every day every occasion until it is 95 degrees outside and I absolutely have to wear shorts. Wouldnt wear them with shorts I don't think. These are the bomb. Here's where I'm at after 14 months: I have worn these pretty much every day, but they have not worn as hard as I would have thought given their reputation. Check out the toes in the pic., meanwhile, the soles are still pretty decent. Sole is coming loose big time. I'll be looking for another brand.

Lightweight, tough and super-hip.
I have wanted Blunnies for a while now, so I jumped the gun and finally got these. They’re surprisingly lightweight. Soles re supportive and durable. Love the hip, classic Chelsea style. I’m having a little trouble breaking them in. I’m a true 7.5 Women (USA) and got the 4.5 (UK) in these. The length seems right, I can wear equally well with tights or thicker boot socks. What’s driving me nuts is the top of the right boot is rubbing the top of my foot something bad, after a few hours I have to take the boot off for a little while. I’m really hoping they stretch out a little more and break in. I think a size up would be too big, so I’m keeping these.

Good solid buy
Really happy with my purchase.Stout brown very versatile.Very easy to pull on and off.I like the rounded toe but would consider alternative shapes but a subsequent purchase. This style is only lined around the opening, not throughout. Not sure if this will make them cold to wear.Found them comfortable straight from the box although I have been wearing medium weight socks with them so help avoid any problems.

Great but some teething problems which I am prepared to live with
Inspired by bushtucker man (not sure if this was his brand!). Very durable and heavy grade leather. Will take some wearing in but feel like they will get better with age. A few issues. As other reviews have said, heel inserts result in a lip just below Achilles, could be blister forming if not worn in. A little tight across toes of one foot. My problem as I probably need an 8.5 for my right foot, left is very comfortable. This is one pair of boots I think a little endurance in first few months will reward with years of service.

Stylish yet functional
I really like these boots . Just the right level of functionality and yet still very stylish. They are robust and hopefully will last years . The colour is a very dark brown almost black. It’s a cool toned shade that will pretty much go with everything. Looking forward to seeing how they stand up to winter walks .

Best boots I ever had
I always research products before buying them, and saw much praise for these. Having bought them, I can now add to that praise. The best boots I have ever owned. Well made, fit well, and actually look pretty stylish.

Excellent service from supplier
Absolutely incredibly fast delivery.Guess the review is right. If you buy on sale and not direct from blundstone you don’t get the extra footbed.I know this because I purchased a pair direct and paid full price.

Strong and comfortable boots for everyday wear.
My 4th pair over 15 years. I love these boots. They are strong comfortable easy to pull on due to the two pull straps. Generally they have lasted me 3 to 4 years with very regular wear. In fact they have never worn out as such but what usually happens is the sole splits and peels a little like a tyre.

great
I think these shoes are less comfortable in comparison with my first pair. Maybe because it is new so the leather is stiff. But they really go well with my winter coat, love the style!

Comfortable
This is my second pair of Blundstone 500's. The other pair I had for many years. As soon as I put the new pair on I knew I had done the right thing buying another pair. They felt so comfortable from the very beginning. These boots are light and ideal for being in all day, walking around.

Like a fool I have worn them
This is my 4th pair of blundstones , and these are defiantly fake ! The quality is so sh## ! Like a fool I have worn them, if I hadn't they would be coming straight back. The best thing I can do with these is donate them to work or throw them away!

2nd pair and still happy!
My second pair of Blundstone 500 boots and I love this pair as much as the first. Tiny, tiny gripe would be that I bought these are they are brown, but it is a very dark brown (barely discernible from black).

rough and loose
Unlined rough feeling inner. Returned for the newer lined 550. Fit is half a size large, which seems typical of all Chelsea boots.

Really smart and comfortable boot
Like a pair of old slippers! Comfortable from the first time you slip them on. These are my first pair of Blundstone's, I'm going to see if I can sleep in them as well.

Spedizione e imballaggio ok.
