Not a new tank, it’s established.** A: It’s a polymer. It will bind particles together so your filter can catch them. Might need to get a smaller micron filter sock and/or a protein skimmer. Your filter probably isn’t turning over your tank fast enough. **Q: How is this product different from Seachem Pristine?** A: Stability, Clarity and Pristine are all different combinations of bacteria that perfom different function in your aquarium. Great product! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aquarium clarity *by L***A on November 28, 2025* This product works ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Be patient and be careful *by I***. on June 8, 2021* Great product. Just be sure to use half of the recommended amount as it can potentially be lethal to your fish as some species are more sensitive than others. You will have to wait a bit longer for the product to take full effect due to this, so keep that in mind. It can take anywhere from a few days, to a few weeks. In my case, it didn’t clear up my water up until 2 weeks after I had used it. The water in my tank was always cloudy even after weekly water changes and I couldn’t get it to be crystal clear, which was very frustrating. I am also aware that the size of my tank should be bigger (I will upgrade as soon as I can) and was definitely a huge factor towards my water quality being less than ideal, so I definitely took that into account before even considering giving this product any kind of review. Wish I had a before video of my tank to show how bad it was, just know it works well if you use it carefully and are patient.
