It was nice to be able to find a chain that is 17 inches. For me, 16 is too short but there are times 18 is just a tiny bit too long. This chain is delicate but sturdy and a very brilliant silver. I am quite happy with this chain and ordered a second one for another pendant I have. very pleased with this purchase. A great value for the price.

This is a much better chain than the one I previously purchased off of here from a different seller and it was actually the worst box chain I had ever seen in my life. The links were far apart from one another, the corners of each box in each link were sharp and bulky, making it uncomfortable to wear and the stamp was scratchy and crooked. This one is better. I doubt that this is Italian silver, though. That is why I removed 1 star. Italian silver has a darker silver color, buttery smooth and has a cleaner stamp. The “Italy” stamp on this is a little sloppy and the box links are not buttery smooth. I can compare this chain to the $20 sterling silver box chains that I have gotten from Target-which are still GOOD chains, their just not Italian made. I actually do not care where my silver is made from, as long as it’s quality meets it’s price. I also am relieved that this has the bright white silver color that I like and not the dingy grey color I find most silver coming from Amazon. I recommend this chain.

I have been buying pendants and needed silver chains - this is a good one at a reasonable price

This sterling silver box chain necklace is just perfect! I bought it for my daughter for her birthday, she broke one of her necklaces and really wanted a replacement so she could wear the charm that she loved so much. This is a bit brighter than her charm but I imagine with wear it might lose a little shine and match up a bit more.It's nice and thin and petite. It looks great, nice quality.Since she regularly wears it there's no tarnish or anything. That's great but remember, tarnish isn't a bad thing it just means it's real! Most tarnish can be removed by rubbing jewelry onto clothes (jeans!) and just general wear will help remove that. I've had a lot of experience with tarnishing as I only wear silver. When you wear it the silver is protected by oils from your skin, when it's not worn sometimes it tarnishes but that doesn't mean it's ruined!!!! Also be very careful as some cleaners can make your silver necklaces look tarnished or even black. Again, rubbing against clothing and in hands helps remove it!The only disappointing factor was how the necklace arrived, it was in a tiny baggie with a business style/brand card and put into a large bubble mailer. My concern was that it's a larger package for a smaller item which I think is totally unnecessary and I feel it could have damaged the necklace in the event things shifted in delivery. So I took off 1 star for that factor.

I just love my chain. This is my second one I ordered. The first one finally broke, but that was only after my grandchildren yanked and pulled on it for a long time. It's beautiful and it shines wonderfully. I can't say enough great things about this for the little money it costs. It's not super dainty if that's what your looking for, but I wear mine everyday and never take it off and yet my last one never lost it's shine. B

Funny story. I first purchased this chain in 2018. I put a small but important to me pendant on it, and wore it every day, never removing it at night or for showering or swimming, etc. I had no problems with tarnishing, or not staying hooked. The next February, 2019, I accidentally snagged the chain on a button while removing a shirt. I didn't realize what was wrong, and pulled sharply, snapping the chain. When I went online to order a new one from the same seller, I discovered it was one year TO THE DAY since I had ordered the first. Weird coincidence!Now, it's February 2020, and I have a cold. I was about to sneeze while in a crowd, so tried to quickly pull the neckline of my sweater up over my face to cover it. You guessed it, I accidentally grabbed the chain with it, and it snapped. I went online to purchase another, and it was ONE YEAR MINUS ONE DAY since my last order. I don't know what to make of all that, lol, but it must mean something.I highly recommend this product to anyone. It holds up very well to 24/7/365 usage with no tarnishing or unhooking. If I wasn't dumb and put too much sudden pressure on it, I have absolutely no doubt it would continue to perform for years longer. A great value all around IMO.

Something to just throw on when your going out

Bought one in 2020. It broke, so I bought another one to replace it. Second one has lasted a month. I will be buying my third chain somewhere else.
