A: It's not made to hold things permanantly or a lot of weight, its for painting, it is suppose to be a low adhision tape. I have seen it grab on certain paper surfaces and it wouldn't let go! you could put some small tabs on the surface to check it out. If its just a paper poster it could hold it up, no telling how long though, I've done work with the stuff like that, you can make it work but thats not really what it is intended for, it is usally a temporary thing then taken off and tossed.

I needed some tape that would work as masking tape and eventually for painting. And, I needed it to be latex free because I recently developed an allergy and other masking tapes made me have a reaction. This tape works really well, has just the right amount of adhesive, and doesn't give me a reaction. It's also easy to tear, easy to use, and is a good value for the money.
