Not what I had hoped :(
Hate leaving a 2 star review for an item's first, but I had a poor experience with this item. I purchased it for a camping trip to Puerto Rico where a solar charger sounded like the perfect thing-- camping in full sun for a week. I tried it out many times before leaving for my trip and it worked fine. It worked the best when plugged into my computer's USB, then charged my cell phone as expected. However the main feature of course was that it can be charged in the SUN and then hooked up to your electronic device.Since I didn't HAVE my computer and depended on the sun only, I sat the charger in the sun multiple times and then hooked it up to my cell... it seemed to suck UP any remaining charge left on my cell phone instead of charging it! I was very disappointed, but I will still try again now that I'm home, plugging it into my computer through the USB. If it still works that way, cool, I'll keep it in my purse or something if I need to use my phone a lot, etc. I was just hoping for an extra safety net since I was beach camping alone and wanted to make sure I had cell access in case of emergencies.HOWEVER if you check around some of the other Juicebar type items have good reviews. They are also the bigger ones and it might be worth investing in one that is a little more expensive. The price difference between this one and the next size up is not that much... I can't say yes or not to any other model since this is the only one I've tried. Thanks!
