The Best Nerf Mega Gun
This gun is very accurate and powerful. This gun is commonplace in my office, and once you hear one of these signature red darts whistle through the air, it is soon accompanied by 5+ more whistles, and you know war has been declared. The range on these darts is pretty far, and I can easily shoot someone multiple rows over on our production floor. I also have the Mega Thunder Bow, which is pretty cool. The bow is more powerful, but these Blasters are more accurate. These darts shoot with enough power that someone knows they have been shot, but not hard enough to actually hurt or leave a mark. I don't think I'd like to take one in the eye, but I don't think there'd be any actual damage. A shot to the eye from the ThunderBow may be a different story though

Only blaster that's fun to shoot and is under 10 dollars!
This is a great blaster. This blaster not only pack's a solid hit, but also can carry a backup dart.I personally love this blaster because you can hear the dart scream through the air, unlike the Magnus or Centurion where you can only here the dart for 1 second due to the blaster noise. It's extremely easy to cock and make's a great sidearm, and it's also just fun to hear the mega dart's scream.Pros:-Extremely affordable-It's easy for kid's to use and is also a fun blaster to mod/paint-You can very easily hear the dart's scream through the air-Makes a great sidearmCons:-Mega darts are very light and big, meaning not only will wind screw up a shot, but the dart's can be squished or damaged easily-In a nerf war, Mega darts aren't as common, so reloading may be a problem-Slightly to big to put in a pocket--

Great gun for the younger kids
My boys and my nephew loves Nerf guns so everyone always get at least one gun for holidays, birthdays, etc. I bought this one for my 4-year old nephew so it would be easy for him to load and cock and that it was. The extra bullet storage on top of the gun is nice too. The mega darts didn’t quite whistle like they normally do in my son’s Magnus because it obviously doesn’t have the power the bigger guns have. So, I would say this is more suited for the younger kids because it is so easy to cock and load and also that it’s not going to sting when you get a bullet in the face - like I did.Side note: This also did not come in your normal Nerf packaging. It came in plain brown box and I had to open it prior to wrapping it to make sure what it was.

Mostly Reliable Gun
Works well and the bullets are very robust, you really have to push the bullet into the gun and ensure it stays there to get a good shot off. Otherwise great gun!

These are a LOT of fun! Pros
Santa brought one of these for each person in the house, including mom and dad. By early Christmas afternoon, they had a quite complete testing. Darts were flying all over the house. These are a LOT of fun!Pros:• One of Nerf's most inexpensive models• Easy operation• Accurate firing• More powerful than I was expecting for the price• Nice size for quick drawCons:• Only comes with two darts (but refills are inexpensive)• I wish the knobs on the pull were just a little bigger. It makes my fingers sore after a while.

The iPad killer Nerf gun!
This by far is one of the most successfully developed and working Nerf pistols my son and I have had the pleasure of shooting at each other. He's literally got a closet full of nerf guns, however not any of them have the power or precision to decimate an ipad screen from 10-15 feet, yes you read that correctly, 2 shots to an ipad screen left 2 big black cracked circles. No I'm not kidding, it was an accident BUT two shots to the front of an ipad and you will be replacing a tablet screen. This nerf gun shoots farther, the whistle darts whistle better (didnt know that was even possible) and you can extract some serious damage to your electronics with it. I wish all of the nerf products performed this good!

The Nerf Jolt, super-sized; a caliber conversion kit from "Worker" allows standard Elite-sized darts to be shot with higher FPS.
The average shot from the BigShock is 56 FPS (feet per second) as measured by my ProChrono Digital chronograph. If you are wondering if this is a good rating, the Mega Magnus fires the exact same Mega Dart consistently at around 78 FPS. This is a big difference for Mega darts especially, as they can go a great distance. The BigShock can still make the Mega darts whistle across a room, though, just not in the way the Mega Thunder Bow fires it (at 89 feet per second) and can make the darts scream across a field. The Mega Cyclone Shock's shots registered at an averaged 71 FPS, and it shoots 6 darts without having to reload. You can store an extra Mega dart on top of the BigShock, which will help a lot considering how limited space you may have carrying these Mega giant ammo rounds, it just seems silly that they didn't find a way to fit more on top of this blaster. As an update, I have found that you cannot simply take the plunger rod apart because of a fixed plunger head. You can however, add a spring from another blaster (I think I added an extra stock Retaliator spring I had lying around, but I cannot remember; Google a mod guide). Lastly, there is a China-based company called "Worker" that sells an aftermarket caliber conversion insert that will allow you to fire standard Elite Nerf darts (the blue, green, white, orange, and decorated Rebelle darts), however, the accuracy of the shots can be pretty bad due to that excessive pressure and not enough "barrel" to guide it in the desired direction. Therefore, the term "effective range" would come into context, meaning the blaster can shoot darts far but only consistently hit the intended target at closer ranges than what it can reach (i.e. reaching say, 80 feet, but only able to hit the right target within 25 feet away). But my grey-trigger (supposedly weaker Australian-spec) Big Shock blaster now shoots 94 FPS. A jump in power from 56 to 94 FPS is ridiculous, and I like the improvement, but yet the cons of this mod are worth noting: 1.) the effective range is not that great due to the accuracy issues, 2.) the draw weight of the priming handle is considerably harder to pull due to the added spring, and 3.) the price of the insert is about the cost of the Big Shock itself (check EBay) which is in-itself a turn-off. For me it was worth it because it was slap-on power for something I tossed on the side, and now it is fun again. 94 FPS... Lol (to give those who don't know an idea, a stock Retaliator XD is in the 70 FPS range).
