Blade is fairly well made. Good layering and hammer pattern. VG10 core is a little wider. Laminate Damascus descends too close to the edge near the tip on one side, so it might become a weak spot in the edge over the years after repeated sharpening. The shipped edge was razor sharp, but visually uneven in two spots, so I got pull when cutting when hitting either spot on the edge.I resharpened and honed out to 12000 grit and polish. No problems now.Handle is okay, but can be slippery compared to many other knives I own.Lanyard hole is underneath the carry clip. So I had to run the cord for the lanyard through the clip in order to get it to seat right, but that means I lost nearly 1/4” of the clip at the top. Most of the other knives I own place the lanyard hole offset from the clip. Lanyard makes it easy to hang outside the pocket for fast retrieval or when not clipped to the pocket it makes it easy to find in my pocket by feel (since I keep keys and stuff also in that pocket). The clip is nice though. Loose enough to allow clipping into my jeans pocket easily, but still enough grip to keep it there. Unlike a boker I recently got where the clip is so tight and stiff it almost takes two hands to clip into my pocket.All around nice attractive and functional EDC knife, but loses a star due to the uneven sharpening.

Got something different than what was advertised but still a high quality knife. Blade is razor sharp.

Super sharp, I have had it 3 months and the blade lock failed and the knife closed on my finger, causing a deep cut to the bone.

Great quality beautiful craftsmanship Mcusta has always impressed me with their attention to detail. They mix traditional Japanese designs and ways with modern technology making their knives a true work of art. I love the look of the pounded metal and the vg-10/Damascus layering. It feels good in hand and pairs well with my beautiful mcusta Katana.
