Best stripper for smaller wire
There are plenty of wire strippers for 14 gauge and higher wires out there that are great but there really aren’t that many for stripping smaller gauge wire. I have a set of these from 20 years ago and wanted to get another just in case I lost those as they are my favorite. These are the same and just as good in every way except the handles are yellow instead of the red like my original pair. I prefer the Ideal over the Klein or any other brand I’ve ever seen. These are excellent tools that I expect will last me as long as the originals or more and now I have a spare!

Worked well for me. I used it to strip some for a 500 series preamp.

LOOK AT DESCEIPTION, NOT PICTURE
First let me just say these are great strippers. I love ideal. Make sure you read the title and not just look at the picture of them. Thought I was getting larger gauge strippers and these are just for control wire.

Great tool at a great price 👍
I bought my 1st pair of these strippers over 20 years ago and I'm just now getting a new pair, these have out performed several pair of Kline strippers throughout the years.

easy and simple
Bought this for a small wiring job and it did just as I expected though I could have liked a better labeling when stripping the wires since I was working into a shadow and if it had a locking mechanism being I needed a [twisty] tie to hold it closed in my tool box. It stripped [the wires] each time with no problem one I lined up the wires. It fits in my 16" box nicely with its small size.Would buy again if this one ever gave out

IDEAL is the real deal !
The only wire strippers I will buy ! BAR NONE !, notice this pair doesn't have the locking device which in my opinion just gets in the way.Just make sure the power is off !

Jaws open too far
For such a fine machined tool, the jaws open too wide for fine (small gauge) wires. They open wide enough to cut 00 gauge wire with the cutters. Very sharp blades for cutting the smaller gauge wire though. Good I have large hands, if you don't you will struggle to close the handles. No stop, so they sit taking up 3* the space they should for storage.

Good quality but no lock
They are great and very useful but the lack of lock is a pain when stored in pocket or bag.
