Carnet de Voyage

Craig Thompson took me right along on his travel adventures and I felt as though I were traveling with a friend, very intimate and warm and the drawings made it so easy to see in your mind's eye. Wonderful! I am saving it to give to my traveling daughter when she comes to visit.

Very beautiful illustrations. I'm studying some of the drawings in order to make my own travel sketches more appealing.

I like this book, great to know what the author went through while writing a book.

A unique take on a travel adventure!A man draws his way around the world and recounts the adventures he has in both words and illustrations. It's a unique way of experiencing the world and what a fun way it was! The illustrations are excellent and he captures the expressions of the people, the chaos of the cities, the sand of the desert and everything in between.It's a unique take on a travel diary and it's very easy to follow, fun to read and you get the sense that this author really would be a good travel companion. He observes yet immerses himself fully into each culture and country he is in.

Me ha gustado por la naturalidad que transmite aunque desde mi punto de vista no esta al nivel de Blankets, su obra maestra.

Molto interessante e condivisibile la parte sul Marocco, per il resto racconta la classica Europa filtrata con gli occhi dell'americano, in cui esperienze come il cibo o il freddo vengono raccontate secondo cliché consolidati. Però pagare 17 euro un libro curato nei dettagli in cui viene sbagliato il nome di una città centrale per il racconto come Essaouira mi fa pensare
